The place is amazing, the host is absolutely exceptional and her cooking is beyond the best. Major plus are that they have some bikes on-site which if available can be used. This really added value. My stay was a 10/10 experience and I couldn’t recommend it enough!

The property has a beautiful garden with a decent sized clean swimming pool and it leads right out onto the beach. There are sun loungers and tables under palm trees. The waves are too big to swim right outside the hotel but about 100meters away is a harbour wall and lovely flat water inside it. We had an early morning walk turning right onto the beach, and it was stunning walking along beaches, over rocks, through the jungle. You can’t walk to central Tangalle but any place along the way will call you a tuktuk, or Guru resort will call you one too. It’s 2500 rupees. The food was absolutely amazing - fresh lobster and fish, perfect dal for breakfast, kid-friendly meals…we did spend a lot of money but we had a lot of beer, wine and delicious food so it was good value for money. The area is quiet - it’s not in the heart of Tangalle nightlife but this is what we wanted. It’s also very close to the turtle watching experience at Rekawa beach.

Charming and peaceful. My wife and I visited this lovely place to watch the turtles lay their eggs and enjoy the ambience. The cabana is a beautiful new design and very clean. Located in a private and serene area bordering an open paddy field where we saw peacocks and many other birds. The food was amazing, delicious, and great value. They had fresh caught seafood and quite a few different vegetable curries. Very short walk to both the Turtle Beach and the Harbor Beach for swimming. Wasantha and his daughter were so kind to us. Wasantha works for many years with the turtle project, a true expert on the history of turtles in this area. We would love to visit again!

Amazing villa surrounded by a beautiful marsh! The staff was very nice, friendly and helpful, and the place was extremely comfortable with all the necessary facilities. Highly recommend!

High level hotel with all the facilities. Well maintained and wonderful staff. For the first time in Sri Lanka we had a western hotel experience for a reasonable price. The pool was great and the smoothie bowl was amazing! Nice turtle beach not far.

We had a perfect vacation! The area was absolutely stunning and peaceful, with a truly pastoral charm. The rooms were beautiful — clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful, and Barbara, the owner, was absolutely lovely and went out of her way to assist us with anything we needed. Everything about the place made for a wonderful, relaxing stay. Highly recommended!

We travel with our 2 boys 8 and 9 yo We just loved the place!! The villa had a closed bedroom and a second floor for our kids There is a small kitchen with the basics to prepare snacks. And 2 fridges There is so much space and its really comfy The pool was lovely. And the beach right in front was super quiet. The waves were pretty big but fun to play in The staff was really nice and the food delicious And the owners were really helpfull and really nice

This stay was the best one in Sri Lanka - everything was perfect - delicious breakfast, tasty lobster for dinner, good wi-fi, always enough hot water, adapters to charge phones, wonderfully decorated place. Territory is amazing, clean swimming pool, lots of tropical plants. We remember days spent with this lovely family with pleasure.

We love that peaceful and relaxing location with luxury comfort. Staff were caring and polite. Room was tidy clean. We enjoyed morning yoga, sunset walks by the endless beach and romantic dinner under stars. Beautiful place, memorable stay. Would love to come back again

I absolutely loved my stay here - this small hotel is located on a beautiful quiet beach stretching as far as the eye can see in both directions. The sea has strong waves but I thoroughly enjoying sitting on the shore with the gentler waves washing over me and there was a great pool for swimming. The rooms are spacious, very clean and with a lovely balcony area to chill out on. Staff were lovely and food was fantastic. Location is a quieter area which was perfect for me and there is a beach close by managed by the wildlife authority where you can see turtles coming onshore to lay eggs which is well worth doing and which the hotel can arrange.

The host really did whatever it took to make us happy!

A boutique hotel with excellent, friendly, helpful service. Direct access to a clean beach. Pleasant swimming pool. So nice we stayed an extra day, just chilling.

We enjoyed that it was only 6 rooms. The pool was beautiful. There are several restaurants in the area at eat at but the food at Lanka Beach Bungalows was awesome. Had a whole grilled snapper one night and it was excellent and we live on the ocean. Prawns were also good. Also had a lovely gin and tonic. Highly recommend for

Comfortable place with all the services required

The resort felt peaceful and calm – ideal for unwinding. I loved that it wasn’t overcrowded like big hotels.
