The facility, the room, the amenities and property everything was just amazing. The food was also excellent.. owner Anne was very sweet and caring. This facility is near to block 6 of the national park which has a lot of elephants and other animals and birds.. although block 1 is famous for leapord but sightings are difficult and it's dense forest so we can't see a lot of animals.. we would have loved to spend a few more days just relaxing in this property if we didn't have other plans. Amazing views of the lake and peacocks and monkeys roaming in the hotel gardens.. amazing.

The stay has all the basic facilities needed for a good comfortable stay. It's like a mini safari from the window and sitting area outside the house. I saw many peacocks running around and dancing many times a day, also monitor lizards peacefully walking by. Many monkeys and buffaloes chilling in the stream in front. Also some birds like blue kingfisher, brown capped babbler birds, parrots etc. The location of the house is great as it's very near to the juice shop, bakeries, restaurants, wine shop and bus stand. Very nice house and hosts. Highly recommend this place.

Our stay at this charming riverside cottage was unforgettable. The food and beverages were fresh, delicious, and full of local flavor, and the staff were warm, welcoming, and always ready to help. This was the best hotel I stayed in Sri lanka. We booked 2 rooms and found out the whole villa is ours. The hostess was extremely friendly and helpful. The cleanness of the rooms, size of the room amazing, location in a peaceful quiet very beautiful place, close to the river. We missed the barbecue though. But teh terrace and balcony are worth to try it.
