Lots of small local shops for food, drink, etc. Pastries nearby delightful, coffee shops short walk away, Thursday market across the road for fruit, veg, cheese, meat, etc. Host showed where to safely park our car for the duration, very safe.

The flat is beautiful, well equipped and nicely decorated. The quiet country setting is a welcome rest from the chaos of Amsterdam. There is plenty of free parking and the WiFi worked without issues. Getting something to eat is only a 6-8 minute drive to Weesp. If you plan to go to Amsterdam drive the 5 minutes to the Park and Ride lot and board the subway for the 25 minute ride to downtown.CaryUnited States of America - Scored 1010

Verry nice place. Peaceful and nice history. Very close to Amsterdam. Marvelous for biking and walking. Nice restaurants, friendly people. This is typically the kind of village you drive to when you're on the highway. You see the church from the highway and you think 'lets go there instead of going to an ugly highway restaurant'.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was expensive, but we had 2 hot drinks each and the food was very tasty. Surroundings were worth paying for. Close to Amsterdam- 20 mins on train at cost of circa £4 each way. Train every 30 mins or so. The modern interior was stylish and cozy, and the fully stocked kitchen made everything so convenient. It’s in a great location, close to the beautiful center of Abcoude, with lovely restaurants and a supermarket nearby. Communication with Arthur and Angèle was super easy and smooth. Highly recommend!
