The location was good for us, as we were attending a wedding in Kaukapakapa and this was only 15mins away. The host was really accommodating and allowed us to check in early so we could get changed prior to the wedding. We didn't really take advantage of the setup, which was lovely and private.

We were a group of 6 adult friends and needed a one night stay when travelling between the Bay of Islands to the Bay of Plenty. We were all nervous about staying in a house with the owners but as soon as we met Mark and Christine, they made us feel so welcome and at home that by the time we left the next day we felt like family. They're house is beautiful and so is the view out over the surrounding Farmland. We'd definitely make Country Getaway House a stopover if we ever return to NZ.

What Guests Said About Glorit:

Gibbs farm and some other walkways were closed for public...

Gibbs farm and some other walkways were closed for public during the weekend we visited or because of New Year holiday season. We enjoyed board games, walks and nature. Glorit is a small remote area where there aren't any shops or restaurants. We took away some food for our meals except for the breakfast which was provided by the hosts. It made me fully enjoy the trip without taking time to do cooking and spending time in the (fully equipped) kitchen during our stay. It's good to have a vehicle with good engine capacity since it is a hilly area although Glorit is not far from Auckland.
