Its beautifully located. Very clean and attention to detail was great. Heater made a bit of noise at night but nothin too distracting as they had good electric blanket which kept us warm. Chris ( I think I got the name correct) at the front office is a fantastic person to talk to. He gave us suggestions about things to do on our way to Hokitika and gave a good insight about general life in South Island. So much to learn from his life experience.

Located along the coast, a 10-minute drive from Haast, Bay Road Motels is surrounded by nature. The Turnbull river being a short walk from motels.

Breakfast was substantial and very well cooked and presented. Lovely to sit with other guests and hear about their travels. Hosts were very friendly and accommodating. Location was fine and easy to find.
