The Grand Hotel has seen much better days, but the room was clean and the hotel's location within walking distance to shops, restaurants and tourist attractions makes it an ideal location. It was good enough for the Queen, who stayed there with her husband 71 years ago.

Kingswood Manor Motel is centrally located and is close to the Zion Wildlife Park, the Whangarei Falls and Abbey Caves. Whangarei city and the harbour is 5 minutes' drive away.
