Located in Troia, this 5-star hotel has a unique design and faces the Sado River Estuary. It features a casino, a spa and 2 outdoor swimming pools. However we just spent one night in the Troia Design Hotel during our trip to Portugal, everything was perfect and over-exceed our expectations. Room was very large with great spacious terrace and an awesome sea view, outdoor pool was the best one we saw in hotels (water is clean, deep enough to enjoy swimming). Location is very nice, close to a Lisbon, hotel situated at very beautiful place, surrounded by a picturesque, charming nature landscape with a flat long sand beach, we've enjoyed it at the morning while it's not so crowded. Definitely will stay here again on the next trip to Portugal.
Located on a stretch of land between the Atlantic Ocean and the Sado River, in Tróia Peninsula, this hotel is set in a protected natural reserve. It features an outdoor pool and private beach area. Staff were super helpful, friendly and fun. We had a downstairs room that led onto the patio. Room was immaculate and very well appointed. Amazing choice of buffet for breakfast.
Located in Troia, Guesthouse Villa Kochab has a garden. Featuring a shared lounge, this property also provides guests with an outdoor pool. The accommodation offers free WiFi. Such a hospitable team, a beautiful room, amazing pool area and fantastic breakfast all close to a lovely beach and 10 minutes drive from the delights of Comporta.
Featuring free bikes, an outdoor swimming pool, and a garden, Soltroia lake Dream house provides accommodation in Troia with free WiFi and lake views. A fantastic find and a brilliant host. This little gem of a place is perfectly placed to explore the area Comporta (approx. 11 min drive) to one side and Troia (5 mins) to the other. Great for kids as there were bikes provided for us to get to the nearest (gorgeous!) beach and pool for lazier days. Also, a supermercado on site so you don't even have to drive anywhere to pick up a last minute supper!
Providing free WiFi, Troia Resort férias fantásticas is situated on the beachfront in Troia. Guests benefit from a balcony and a children's playground. An apartment very original, modern (I would say even a little futuristic) and practical. Provides everything you need, it is large, it has a lot of light and an absolutely fantastic view from the balcony, especially to take coffee in the morning or maybe a glass of wine at the awesome sunset. Location is also great, near the small marina and very close to the beach (but, as a tip-don't stop early on the way to the beach, the most beautiful part, with warmer water, is a little far away). There is a supermarket nearby (Meu Super), other shops and some street food choices. Also some nice parks. The restaurant situated at the ground floor of the building, El Cristo, was our choice for last evening. Exceptional seafood (we had clams) but expensive and the service a little too slow (admitting the restaurant was completely full). Last but not least, Ana who helped us with check in was very kind and helpful but has to improve her English (or, probably, tourist have to learn Portuguese which is a beautiful language! 😊)
Offering free WiFi, Aroeira Apartament is set on the beachfront in Troia. The air-conditioned accommodation is 45 km from Montijo. very nice apartment for two adults. - fully equiped kitchen and bathroom. - comfortable bed - great localization - no problems with wi-fi - elevator (4th floor) - view from the window and balcony
Very calm and relaxing, never ending beach, walking circuits, excellent for a relaxing weekend or vacation. Restaurants a bit crowdy but not too expensive and good seafood available. Only the cement plan across the river estuary doesn't look good on the photos, but you just have to ignore it.
It was an ok resort but could have been anywhere in the world .Modern apartment posh walk in shower impressive until you opened shower door, flooded whole bathroom!! Bit of design fault! But hey ho we were on holiday !!
Troia was not for us . Best way to describe it is like a mini Dubai . The restaurants in Troia very poor as well . However would highly recommend Comporta . Beautiful beaches and good restaurants around . Would for sure be back there .
It’s a golf destination - one great golf course - a few restaurants and hotels - not much else in terms of Holliday infrastructure - but also some Roman ruins and a phenomenal sand spit or sand bank facing the Atlantic Ocean - worth the trip.
Not my kind of place and really is neither one thing nor the other. Good for short stays for families with youngsters loving the beach. Limited opportunities... yes you can walk, enjoy a round of golf, sunbathe visit a casino, but too artificial be en large. Views of Setuba quite off putting unless you like industrial plants. Limited number of fine dining opportunities too... enough?

Great place, beautiful location, view from bedroom window at night so magic. Kitchen very well equipped, if renting car, try to leave it overnight on free parking by Port of Setubal and take boat for €6.75(free return) almost 24/7 rides scheduled every hour: 10am Setubal, 10:30 back Troia. Shopping also better to do at Setubal, much more choices and cheaper. WiFi good. Lots of games. Use sunblock even if it’s looks like it’s cold outside, we got sunburn in two hours on the beach.

Location, location, location! Marvelous location, at 3 minute walk to a stunning beach, nearly without people around. It is part of a private state (Sol Tróia), with security and space for walking or cycling. Very calm, safe and quiet. Restaurants are not in walking distance, but in Tróia (less than 8 Km), there are very good restaurants. A mini-market and 2 coffee shops (where you can eat), do exist in Sol Tróia, they are not always open. Includes a garage parking place.

Beautiful location, nice landscaping & very peaceful environment. Amazing beach. Loved that it's an eco-resort & everything is built in harmony with the surroundings. Will definitely be back, but will make sure to choose the correct villa & location.

Everything is new, clean, tastefully decorated, from common areas to rooms. Staff is lovely and warm, and helpful. Location is good to reach Comporta beaches. Breakfast is rich, yummy, fresh. Very good value for money!

Nothing, it is devoid of atmosphere and character. we left immediately on checking in. Felt like we were in some sort of compound. It was our own fault for not realizing on booking that this is a “resort”.

What a beautiful resort. The house was spotless and the grounds so well cared for. A very relaxing holiday and a day trip yi Setubal recommended on the passenger ferry.
