Set in luxuriant grounds, Hotel Templarios offers spacious rooms with balconies overlooking the Nabão River and Mouchão Park. It features a spa and lagoon-style pool with views of Tomar Citadel. It is an older hotel, but completely renovated while keeping the old classy style. The gardens around the hotel are meticulously maintained and truly beautiful.

A two-night stay is sufficient to take in the whole town which is consumed by the Knights of the Templar and their magnificant castle towering over everything. The old town is the place to eat dinner. Don’t be afraid of tourist places, since the restaurants seem to pride themselves on showing off Portugal’s cusine with deliciously prepared meals - and at rerasonable prices. Restaurants open at around 7 pm, they fill up quickly and stay that way so plan accordingly. Take particular interest in the soups, all of which were terrific. If you drive there, parking is a bit of a horror show, but doable. Tomar is also a good jumping off spot for the center of the country.
Lovely town on the flat. Tuk Tuk ride around town and to aquaduct very good. Convent do cristo great. Many restaurant, Casa das Rates recommended to us. Very cheap wine and great ambience, food and service not good :(
We stayed in Tomar almost by chance as we had various places within the vicinity we wanted to visit - what a fantastic decision it turned out to be. Truly amazing monastery (convent) and so much history . Really pretty countryside and hidden castles guarding rivers from the times of the Knights Templar.
We enjoyed an afternoon meal with mostly local clientele at Restaurante Tomaz It was delicious and fun-- 2 thumbs up! The walk up to the castle is about 10 minutes. Not difficult but if you want to save your energy or don't have good walking shoes, I would recommend hiring Tuktuklovers to take you to the top for only 2.50 pp.
Everyone we met in Tomar was so nice and accommodating. People were just simply warm and always had a nice disposition. If things did go wrong, their famous last words were "no worry, no problem"!!! They were truly just the nicest people!
Charming little town with outstanding convent of the Order of the Templars- very unique and unexpected gem. Don't miss a small synagogue- the oldest in Portugal. The volunteer there does not speak English but is very friendly.

The owner is really nice and he gave me a lots information about Tomar. I could picture Tomar’s past and now by the conversation with him. What surprise me was that he’s the first one told me my country,Taiwan, was called ‘Formosa’ by ancient Portuguese . The apartment is not with a fancy or mordern equipment but filled with an artistic style and clean, above all.My favorite place is the spacious living room with many plants, like a melody of green-life and living. I did not use the kitchen much, but it is full-equipped.

The guesthouse is located right in the centre of town, just off the main square, which means that getting lost is virtually impossible. The room was bright and clean, and very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the local area, recommending several places to see. Check out isn't until 12:00 which was great. And the Wifi connection worked most of the time, which is a miracle in Portugal! I loved staying here and would be happy to recommend it.

This was the most wonderful flat where we stayed in portugal, extremely nice atmosphere with a balcony. This accommodation was exquisite and we had everything we needed. The owner was very helpful, she gave us coffee and chocolate and was very relaxed with the checkin time. Location was great, 2 min walk from the main square. Definitely i will book again this flat next time i will be in Tomar. There is also a free parking 2 min away from the street.

Everything was great, we liked the room, it was very comfortable, and we were provided with a baby crib and a kettle. Breakfast wad good as well. The location is nice - its walking distance from city center, 20 minutes to the castle of Tomar. There is a free parking very close to the hotel, 5-7 minutes walking. But you cannot reserve a place, so when we came it was full, and we had to wait till someothe lives, it took us maybe 15 minutes.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The hotel location is ideal for a walk around the old town of Tomar. Parking is really easy - there is a free parking area right next to the hotel.

What an amazing place to stay in Tomar. Incredibly quiet, super comfortable and clean. Filipa was an amazing host that was always available to answer any question that we had. The flat by itself is very nice and modern and it looks completely new. We only stayed for two nights but I wish we could've stayed a whole week or something like that. The breakfast was very complete as well and we even saved some for the second morning. The bed is quite comfy and so is the little couch.
