The hotel is recently renovated. We had a corner room with 2 large windows and one with a Juliet balcony which opened up to the street inside the old city. It was very quiet at night. There is a common room with sofas, coffee and tea. It’s a beautiful hotel. The front desk service was excellent-we were able to check in early. I would definitely book again.

Right next to the Valenca Fortress. Bed was really comfortable and staff spoke good english and was able to answer all questions. There is a grocery store and plenty of places to eat dinner. Breakfast was good.

My heart is full after spending a night here. Right on the Camino and 1km from the river route. The pool was an excellent place to cool my aching feet, the garden area peaceful to process my thoughts, and the pilgrim’s dinner the perfect opportunity to connect with other pilgrims and reflect on the diversity of our individual journeys. There is also a well tuned guitar and piano here so if you’re musical and missing your instrument, this is it! Thank you, Alvorada Medieval, for filling my cup. I arrived empty and depleted, and I left feeling nourished and held.
