Really enjoyed my stay here. The beach in front was much quieter than the other areas I have stayed at in Phuket and I had a clear stretch all to myself. You are close by the viewing point and can walk/cycle/tuk down to where they land for the best shots. Happy hour cocktails were a great price. Free bikes to rent helps to go to local restaurants for cheaper food - there are a few stalls up by the airport which are great. Big comfy room and good bed.

Clean and bright room, with a small balcony and pool view. Gail at reception was super helpful about where to go, and also lent us bicycles for free. Good location to walk to the beach, and can take a tuk tuk to other areas nearby. About a 15 minute drive to the airport.

It’s so wonderful to have met such a beautiful soul in the heart of Phuket Island. Upon check-in, we already knew that we would be in excellent hands. Oy did a sensational job in arranging all of our accommodations including our hotel stay, hotel to airport transportation and especially our elephant experience. Her level of professionalism far exceeds typical customer care. She treated each and every one of us like her family. She literally made it her mission to guarantee us having the most amazing time in Thailand. I have traveled to many places, and I haven’t yet met a concierge staff that can match Oy’s standards. She really is the personification of customer service. Her level of care is second to none as she single-handedly made sure my family had the best Thai experience.     We came to get away form Patong Town for the final days of our trip, so the location was not a problem for us as we were also close to the airport. We recommend a visit to Baan Ar-Joor - the food is lovely and the history is interesting.

    Mai Khao Beach is amazing, one of the best on the island but...

    Mai Khao Beach is amazing, one of the best on the island but there is little in the vicinity to do. It's a long way from the main resorts which some may prefer. Its 10 minutes to the airport so perfect for a 1 night stay before flying home but personally I think its not for those wishing to stay a week or more unless you hire a car / moped.

    Loved the location of Mai Khao!

    Loved the location of Mai Khao! The resort pools and beach itself were amazing and not overly crowded. Watching the planes land over the beach was fascinating and made for awesome photos! There were plenty of local eateries outside of the resort and plenty of places for massages, facials, pedicures etc... The stalls down at the beach had fabulous food and drinks for $5 AUD and under and the variety was excellent! And no upset bellies!! It was easy to hail a tuk tuk when it got too hot to walk further distances as they were everywhere. One of our friends hadn't been to Thailand before so we took a day trip into Patong which took an hour and a half. We thought she should see Bangla Rd at least once! Was glad to get back to the peace and tranquility of Mai Khao though!!

    This place was one I will keep coming back to.

    This place was one I will keep coming back to. The room exceeded my expectations. I was happy to see there was a couch with an extra sitting room outside the main bedroom area. This was very helpful. The food in the restaurant has a good variety of options and it was the best curry I had the whole vacation. The hosts were so kind and helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to return.

    Mai Khao beach is relatively cleaner compared to the other more popular beaches in Phuket. It's also less congested and therefore is more suitable for walks and watching sunsets. We had a Thai dinner at Sunset Restaurant along Mai Kao beach and I would say it was one of the best meals we had while in Phuket. We had sea food tom yum, fried calamari, pandan chicken and fried vegetables. The price came up to less than 1000 baht for the 3 of us inclusive of drinks. Really value for money!

    The swimming pool at the resort was amazing. The biggest I've ever been in and not crowded at all. The beach had quite dumpy waves that were unsafe for swimming with the 4&6 years old kids we had. The pool was much safer

Oh, and did I mention the cocktails? But wait, the food! First rate. We had bruschetta, chicken satay (spicy sauce) and a mushroom and ham pizza while lazing by the pool. Great start to our holiday in Phuket. Furthermore, the late check out! 12pm for all. It's such a convenience.

    We booked this as a first stop after arriving in Phuket. The little bungalows are absolutely gorgeous for the price! The owner is so lovely. doesnt speak a lot of English but that was not a problem at all. Borrowed a couple of bikes to look round and its very close to a deserted beach which is lovely. I would highly recommend this place.
