This is a very rural, very quiet island.
This is a very rural, very quiet island. There are no big developments, no nightlife, and not a lot to do except relax. We really only left our resort to go on day trips via boat (island hopping, snorkeling, etc). It's beautiful, but rough around the edges and about as different from The White Lotus as you can get. Great island to be on.
Great island to be on. Very calm atmosphere, nice beaches, much better than Phi Phi. If you want to go swimming, go to Lo Chak Beach (our favourite), or Loh Pared Beach. There are also some great restaurants.Guest review byMichalCzech Republic - 10.0

THE BEST PLACE WE HAVE STAYED IN THAILAND!! The owner and his family were so friendly and kind and could not help us enough. We hired a motorbike which was extremely well looked after and we were given some fuel too. There were laundry facilities for a small fee and complimentary water and coffee. The Pod we stayed in was immaculate and so wel built by the owner himself. Staff are great, room is huge. Pool is huge and welcoming when it's a hot day as it can be cold when the weather is not great. Breakfast is a good not the best. Limited western style and Thai style breakfast with fruit, Yogurt etc. Omelette station is excellent. No scooter hire but go to the end of the road and there is an old man renting out scooters. The hotel is spread in many acres of virgin forest and the rooms are beautifully located in strategic places with great ocean views. The peace and quiet in our room, which was located in one of the most remote buildings, was just fenomenal. We enjoyed it immensely. That said, the restaurants, beach and common services of the hotel were a bit far, but the hotel offers a good service of cars and golf carts that take you up and down the hills to your room. We had a villa near the beach and was perfect! The resort has two different swimming pools. The resort is very large and the villas and the road are among the jungle, they had golf cars that take you from the entrance of the village (inside you cannot go with motorbike) to you villa or the restaurant.
