I have never walked into a hotel that smelled as good as the Holiday in Express in Berea. The staff was so friendly. They made a point to include my grandson in every conversation. We both will be back!!!

Berea, KY is a beautiful small town, with friendly people, nice selection of restaurants, pretty downtown, and the lovely Berea College Campus. If you like hiking, which is what we did, The Pinnacles have great trails and the views are awe-inspiring, a true must see place! We ate Kentucky Fried Chicken, of course, The Cracker Barrel, and the nice down-home Dinner Bell Restaurant. There are several second-hand/antique shops which offered a lot of fun, relaxed shopping.

Not to sound cliche, but we truly liked everything about ouraccomodations, the city, and the surrounding countryside! It was our first visit to the srea and we weren't sure of what to expect. Our experience was truly excellent! The campus, Boone Tavern, adjacent shops, Old Town Shops and Railroad Station were our "haunts." We were able take relaxing walks and visit with artisans, and workers. People were friendly and made us feel welcome!

Berea is a very nice small appalachian town with a big personality! There are many artistic sights to see, as well as hiking and lots of nature. We were in town for only one night, for a wedding, so we will definitely have to come back soon!

I think Berea, KY is a great place to visit.
I think Berea, KY is a great place to visit. There are some outdoor adventures like hiking up The Pinnacles. In town there are so many shops with work done by students and local artisans. The Boone Tavern and Berea College campus have great architectural features.
There are some quaint eating estrablsihments also.
The staff is professional, yet friendly. The bed was comfortable. The hotel was full, but still very quiet. I always love the elegant breakfast. Sitting on the huge veranda at the end of the day is my favorite part of staying here. Walking to the shops for locally made art and craft items is a great way to start the day.
Fantastic and historic hotel in every way which give you a perspective of how this first class royal hotel must have been a hundred years ago - and still holds it’s position of a five star hotel!!!!!
