Beautiful property with horses, goats, chickens and dogs. Lots of things to do. The owner bakes fresh goodies for your enjoyment and they were delicious. Awesome mini bar and fresh eggs and cream in fridge! Even a bourbon sampling in the evening by the fireplace. It was just a lovely stay!

The comfort and cleanliness of the room was a definite plus.

The comfort and cleanliness of the room was a definite plus. Also, considering the number of rooms, the place is very quiet and the climate control is excellent. The staff was very efficient, helpful, and friendly. As Boone Tavern is right in the middle of the town of Berea, it allows for a lot of good walking, shopping, and nice porches for sitting. It also has plenty of space in the interior bottom floor for sitting and/or meeting others. The campus of Berea College is beautiful and a wonderful place to walk. Thanks to everyone for the hospitality!

Was in the area for a family visit.

Was in the area for a family visit. This is not the first time in Berea and I must say that it's a quirky sort of town. Other than the College, there are not many places to eat that are descent and try and get a descent cup of coffee in this town. Fugggetaboutit.

They likely have a leak or flooding that led to a mold/mildew issue. The smell was very bad and the staff would not let us try another room saying they were fully booked while the parking lot stayed empty like 3-4 cars in the entire lot!

The tavern is right at a most lovely college campus and easy walking distance to great shopping and fudge/icecream shops. And easy drIving distance to other shopping, history, Boone Trace hiking, etc. What's not to love.

Berea, KY is a beautiful small town, with friendly people, nice selection of restaurants, pretty downtown, and the lovely Berea College Campus. If you like hiking, which is what we did, The Pinnacles have great trails and the views are awe-inspiring, a true must see place! We ate Kentucky Fried Chicken, of course, The Cracker Barrel, and the nice down-home Dinner Bell Restaurant. There are several second-hand/antique shops which offered a lot of fun, relaxed shopping.

Not to sound cliche, but we truly liked everything about...

Not to sound cliche, but we truly liked everything about ouraccomodations, the city, and the surrounding countryside! It was our first visit to the srea and we weren't sure of what to expect. Our experience was truly excellent! The campus, Boone Tavern, adjacent shops, Old Town Shops and Railroad Station were our "haunts." We were able take relaxing walks and visit with artisans, and workers. People were friendly and made us feel welcome!

Clean, comfortable & quite place. Nice beds. Definetly recommend this hotel. Breakfast is excellent, even after check-in we were allowed to grub food from the dining room (fruits and yogurts), and they keep replenishing it for us. Thanks for that.
