The Historic Boone Tavern surprised us with it's homey welcome, comfortable setting, genuine, strong historical past and helpful staff. Instead of an impersonal business feel, it was like coming home. And the various plaques and pictures that told the history and strong influence Berea university has had over its century+ existence were informative and encouraging. It was wonderful to know that through some very confusing periods, Berea was assisting students and standing with the oppressed. A light in the darkness of human history! We will definitely stay there again if we are traveling through the area!

The room was huge with very big and comfortable beds with great linens. The breakfast had great variety and always had enough for everyone. Thank you. The receptionist were all so nice and helpful. Even directed me to a chicken place at the gas station that has amazing chicken. Even best highways to use and food options for the kids.

Beautiful interiors and classic decor. It is so rare now that you get high quality water straight from the tap at hotels, but The Brown had that. Little touches like a signature pleasant scent were appreciated.

The hotel permits people to bring their pets (i.e., cats and dogs) which is great for travelers with pets. Also, the complimentary dinner was a wonderful surprise.

Everything! The staff and the amenities were beyond what I had imagined. I felt safe, cared for, and will be coming back next year!

Was very clean the staff was very friendly and the breakfast was probably the best free breakfast we have had at a hotel.

The manger was very nice and called me many times to confirm a room hiccup that ended up working out beautifully!
