This is a very cute, rustic hotel that will make a great base of operations for Catskills hiking, adventuring etc. 30 minutes from everything, comfortable & clean. Any superlatives pale in comparison to what I would say about the owner/operators. They are an amazing couple, take time to talk to everyone, and feel like they get to know all of their guests. Their place truly becomes a home away from home.

It was super clean. And the staff was great. Both husband and wife team, who ran the place where super friendly, and the breakfast was awesome. The room was small but very charming and comfortable. I would highly recommend this place. Nice mountain air, beautiful scenery, and great hospitality. Definitely going back.

    Big Indian has special meaning for me as I used to come up...

    Big Indian has special meaning for me as I used to come up here to stay in a home on one of the mountains, hike up the mountains, participate in winter & summer activities for years as a younger child & adult. I also had to settle some issues for my brother's estate who passed away a year ago & visit friends in the area. Weather was perfect during our stay there, also.

    The hotel lost power due to a storm before we even made the reservation. They never shared that information until we got there. There were no lights, AC, hot water, wifi or kitchenette. The only place to charge ones phone was in ones car. When I said I thought we deserved a hefty discount, she only offered $30.

    It's a cute little motel in the beautiful Catskills. I couldn't rate the staff as I never saw them. Note on office door said that due to covid, the keys would be in the room, and to call if there were any questions.

    It was a clean good hotel, it had a nice kitchen and the backyard area was great and decorated nicely. There was a spot to barbeque and the hotel receptionist was very kind and helpful.

    Motel is in a good location and is very quaint and nostalgic. All about room was clean and fresh. Very nice to have kitchen facilities to fuel up to enjoy the Catskills.
