We travelled the week before Christmas so the snow was heavy, but we were impressed with how the town cleared roads and pathways. We stayed at the Residence Inn Downtown Buffalo which was a perfect location for both walking around town and getting to the highways with our rented vehicle. Everyone we met was extremely friendly and helpful. The Sheas Theatre on Main Street is a must visit as the architecture and decor is stunning. Colter Bay bar and restaurant on Delaware Ave and Allen St, has a great vibe with live music and fantastic chicken wings. Cafe 59 on Allen Street, is also a great small bar restaurant with fantastic dishes and great service. We primarily went to Buffalo for an NFL game, and access to Niagra Falls and Canada, but were pleasantly surprised as to all the other attractions Buffalo has to offer.
Considering the horrendous weather I had for 4 days I continued my plans. Will definitely return in more favourable conditions. Looks like lots to see and experience the revitalizing of Buffalo. Would like to have the canal area via walking but again the weather was too wet, windy and cold. Stayed in Allentown which is getting a new lease on life, so I will look forward to visiting again in the near futute.
Buffalo has been the hidden gem of places to visit in the state of New York. Conveniently situated near the Canadian border within a short distance of the GTA, it should be on everyone's radar as a fun, interesting and exciting destination for a weekend or longer. Great places to eat and drink; a good zoo, fine art galleries, a superior botanical garden, enormous open spaces, a great old ballpark, NFL and NHL teams and some of the best architecture and city design in the USA. Something for everyone and plenty to interest the discerning visitor.
Beautiful city where there are activities in daytime and a very good nightlife when the sun goes down. One issue some bars and lounges closed at midnight. It's easy to get to Niagara Falls from Buffalo
We came to Buffalo for a specific reason and thoroughly enjoyed what we did get to see and do. The city is quite clean. Traffic is a non-issue ( arrived on a Friday afternoon the first time). Downtown is easy to get around and so many places are a few blocks away.
We were actually in Williamsville, but the area offered many places to eat. It was a quick trip so didn't do much only went to Cabela's. So didn't really get into Buffalo. The Buffalo Statues were a Great touch. Rush hour traffic was not good.
Advertised hot breakfast was a cold grab and go, room was hot first several days, only blanket was a winter quilt so we had to go to store and buy a blanket, had to go to Lobby to get ice, noisey upstairs neighbor at night, No fan In Bathroom, had to get your own towels. Definitely not a luxury hotel!
Room and facility were beautiful. Place was clean and quiet. Staff was courteous and attentive. Location is conveniently located close to the airport and easy access to the thruway to quickly get you to wherever you want to go.
excellent interior design in all areas of the hotel. convenience and comfort in everything. everything that a demanding guest can wish for is foreseen. I highly recommend this hotel everyone who want to stay in Buffalo
very clean property with proper precautionary measures in place, which given the times is very comforting. great location downtown with plenty of spots nearby for food and coffee! On the main road but is not noisy
The staff are all Fantastic, the breakfast was the best I've ever had at a hotel, the fire room and front bar are beautiful, loved the complimentary drinks. The driver was awesome too.
Perfect location to explore a very charming and fun area of Buffalo. Great bars and shops nearby. The dream of the 90s is def still alive and the vintage details in the room were a bonus.
Got stuck in the hotel elevator for one hour. They didn’t try to give me money off the room or compensate me.
The hotel is located in downtown and close to public transportation. The room has wonderful bed.
This is not a hotel, more like warehouse. Worst room and worst service
Rooms were clean good location downtown boxed breakfast
