The hotel was beautiful. Everything was clean and very well decorated. Check in and restaurant staff was wonderful and always greeted us with a smile. The two restaurants are absolutely outstanding. We had dinner at Caroline’s and breakfast at Dean’s and both were some of the best in-hotel dining I’ve ever experienced. Staying at this property was well worth every penny and we will be back!

Charlotte is a beautiful city and offers many experiences to enjoy. Eating out was always a treat! The Mimosa Grill, Cajun Yard Dog and Flower Child, were some of the places we dined. All were excellent places to eat.

As a former resident of Charlotte, I am impressed at how the city has progressed. There are many offerings for food and entertainment. Traffic on the interstates is a bit of a problem, but not the normal big city congestion.

I stayed at the Wingate overnight because of its close proximity to the Charlotte Douglas Airport. My expectations were simple: a place to sleep and somewhere to eat. This hotel has no restaurant but the Shalmar Greek restaurant is a 5 min walk along the high way. I noticed a lugguage trolly by the entrance but there was no bell staff when I checked in and as tired as I was from 7 hours flying, I had to lug my bags up to the 4th floor unassisted. The room was sizeable with a designated sitting area which would have been a great reading spot - had my stay been longer. Check in for me was actually my combined check out also. The full breakfast is complimentary but I had to leave way too early to even consider it. Sunny and Leroy were my two drivers and they put a welcoming face on the complimentary shuttle service Wingate offers.

We loved Carowinds had a wonderful time.

We loved Carowinds had a wonderful time. The art museum was very educational. There is so many places to eat. We settled on Olive Garden. We also went to Stars and Strikes, very family friendly outing. The crime in Charlotte is horrible though. A couple of cars got broken into at the hotel in which we stayed and we were right beside the outlets in a nice neighborhood, so just be aware. Aside from that Charlotte was nice.

A nice area to live or visit a lot of attractions a lot of places to go a lot of things to do. Nice food. Customer Service could’ve been a lot earlier construction was a little distraction. Lemonade was not good at all at the front desk. Bitter cookies were always good at the Doubletree. We didn’t have tissue in our room. We had half a roll on the roller housekeeping and just double checked always make sure extra role is there but everything else was OK. I

I liked Charlotte, it was clean, without the smell of marijuana, there were almost no homeless people and the corresponding stench, so I am very happy with the trip. I recommend NASCAR, Billy Graham Library, Amélie's French Bakery & Café, walking around the center, the amazingly beautiful First Presbyterian Church of Charlotte, museums. I had enough one day to visit a couple of museums and walk around the city center

The hotel staff at check-in were very professional, welcoming and friendly. The process was quick and without issue. The room was clean and spacious. We enjoyed the kitchen service late-evening and at breakfast. Our server, Daniela, was outstanding. I would recommend this hotel for anyone traveling to Charlotte.
