It would be nice to have a restaurant in the hotel and open late! We were gonna eat at the Village in but couldn't get no service! Then we went to KFC and got lunch that wasn't very good! It is a little confusing getting around Council Bluffs! We will defiantly avoid The Village Inn if that is the way we get treated!

I booked a queen room with queen bed.
I booked a queen room with queen bed. Got small room full bed, Booked. The outside of the building had lots of trash laying around, first clue. Took us to room hat hadn't been dusted in a very long time. Lots of trash behind fridge, dresser. Filth alined every wall. Toilet and shower were broken no coffee maker or cups. Finally appalled I went to desk and told them about unacceptable conditions and wrong room person tried to talk of it and I got him to come to room and inspect got different room with 2 beds not what I wanted bedding was disgusting and smelled. My friend was ill and left 2 chargers & called shortly after leaving and was told they weren't there when I didn't see a maid in halls the entire stay. I called shoI DON'T KNOW IF THERE'S A WORST MOTEL ON EARTH SHOULD BE CLOSED BY THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT. Patricia Christensen I should have gotten a refund from them for the entire stay. -5 stars

The elevator was not working.
The elevator was not working. It was not her falult but the attendant could have put us on the first floor it would been a minor upgrade but she chose to put two senior citizens on the second floor. I think she should have upgraded us to the delux room since the elevator was not working.

Very nice evening staff !
Very nice evening staff ! My only complaint is beds were not very comfortable needs replaced....and maybe to upkeep the back maybe fire pit and full coverage it rained and furniture got wet and wasn't cleaned very often but know many places are short staffed but was completely satisfied and I will stay again
Infortunately they overbooked and when we arrived with a prepaid receipt we were told that our stay had been cancelled. We eventually got a voucher for another hotel but the hotel didn’t accept the voucher that night. We paid for the new hotel room. In the morning after returning to the Hampton inn we were told the new hotel nights bill would be covered. We hope to receive a refund. It was a mess and we were tired.
Conveniently located by the Mid-America Center (literally connected to the venue). Breakfast was good, hot and cold options. Pool was fantastic, perfect size for the kids to have fun. The hotel was full due to a cheer/dance competition that we were attending and it was still very quiet throughout the night.
Good location close to I-29 in Council Bluffs. There is a restaurant right across the street for catching a meal after a late arrival. My room was quiet and the bed was comfortable. The hotel is pet friendly and they charge a nominal $10 pet fee.
How clean and refreshing the smell of the hotel! The breakfast was phenomenal, delicious, good! The staff were amazing, nice, and very welcoming, and greetings were top-notch! :)
I would stay again if I was to drive through or visit again!
I stay here when I come to Council Bluffs, and love the cleanliness, quietness, and location. This is always my "go to" when it's affordable. Pricey for the area at times, and would stay there for $100/night, not any more than than though.
I was traveling cross country and stayed in several hotels. They had the best breakfast! It was an actual full hot breakfast instead of the fruit and muffins I got at other properties. Big selling point for me!
the hotel across the street charged 15 Dollars more and you get a microwave and a refrigerator in the room plus breakfast which is cereal, bagels, biscuits and gravy juice waffles would be nice for a up grade
It's worth the price! The location is great for us since we were travelling through council bluffs, and the facility was good along with a comfortable bed. The price was a plus plus.
Nothing wasn't even able to stay at the hotel. Clerk charged me on my debit card for a room that was already prepaid and I showed proof of receipts that is was already paid.
Very good hotel, spacious room with all necessary facilities and river view, helpful staff, very good breakfast with diversified offer, coffee/tea cart available 24/7.
The hotel was clean and the staff (on all shifts) was friendly and helpful. The cleaning staff were efficient and quiet. I would definitely stay here again!!
