We liked the downtown area. We enjoyed both McGlynn's and Countrie Eatery! Dover's closeness to Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge is the reason we stayed there. We liked the size of the room, the mattress, and the pillows and the nearby ( walking distance ) Chinese King Buffet was better than great but 1 ) no hot water in the bathroom sink, 2 ) unable to enter in the nearest exterior door with our key card last but not least 3 ) waiting for breakfast, especially coffee past 7:15 AM. We were in Dover to visit family. The city of Dover is relatively quiet, driving isn't bad, not much congestion. We ate at Olive Garden and Applebee's (we stayed in Dover two nights). The staff was courteous and helpful from checking in until checking out. The facility was clean and well run. This was my second stay at Dover that the pool wasn’t available. I'm not visiting Dover as a traveler or vacationer. I am here because I had a house fire and I needed someplace to stay while my house was cleaned. If I were going to move, Dover is one of the places I would consider moving to.Guest review byAnna - 6.0
Staff was very good.
Staff was very good. Accommodations were adequate but because of Covid regulations we did not have sheets or towels changed the second night. Housekeeping delivered fresh towels upon our request. Beds were comfortable and room was quiet. TV was good. Steak restaurant and Italian restaurant were very good. Staff was pleasant also. Couldn't get on gambling machines until 8:00 a.m. each day. Machine servers were hard to find until after noon. Had to pay for coffee before 8:30 a.m. Not all the cafes were open.Guest review byJohn
