yes , read my reviews its the cheapest and QUIET place to be at. when on vacation rest and quiet is the 2 most inportant things to have. the stress in traveling and stress in seeing all the things take a burden on you. so you need QUIET AND SLEEP.
The downtown area is very crowded and parking can be difficult. Lots of variety of restaurants, coffee shops and small boutique stores. Love the sledding park experience and beautiful views. Roads in winter were fine and safe.
Flagstaff is a university town also serving a lot of travelers on I-40. A very friendly place with some charm. Dozens of places to eat, some with all-night delivery. Competition keeps motel prices down. If you don't like noise, check map carefully for places NOT near the railroad. Old downtown area has some quaint but well-kept hotels. If you're heading from the east to the Grand Canyon, you can layover in Flagstaff, or Williams, or Canyon village. Flagstaff is your BEST OPTION. Williams is overpriced with many low-quality places. Canyon is often booked.
Flagstaff is a wonderful college town (Northern Arizona University) located at 7000 feet. Lots to see and do, especially the Lowell Observatory, hiking in pine forests, and lava tubes 10 miles from downtown. Sunset Crater is approximately 25 miles away, and the Grand Canyon is 75 miles (one and a half hour drive). Restaurants, breweries (Mother Road, Lumberyard, and more) and shopping are plentiful in the downtown/NAU area. Highly recommended for a 2 - 3 day stay.
We thoroughly enjoyed the Lowell Observatory. We went during the day for some of the tours, then used the same ticket to return at might for the stargazing. It was FREEZING but worth it. I got to view Saturn and Jupiter from a telescope, as well as the constellation Andromeda. We also took a day trip to Sedona, which was about 15 degrees warmer -and gorgeous.
I spent quite a few field trips going to Flagstaff in my college Years. It has a special place in my heart. I ended up having my new d i s c put in my spine a true success! My favorite places are the lava tubes go explore the Lava River Cave a must-see free experience not handicap accessible. This is a short trip from Grand Canyon also my favorite place on the planet! As tradition dictates our first meal is always nimarcos Pizza a Flagstaff favorite! I was in town on November 3rd and witnessed the first snowfall of the season 21° and it was amazing to be woken in the middle of the night by pea-sized snow pellets hitting the hotel door!
Flagstaff
Convenient location for travel and old Flagstaff. Friendly and accommodating staff. Authentic. Ok, the place is dated, but who cares? It added to the retro feel. (It is due to be upgraded shortly, and while that will no doubt be nice, I hope they manage to keep some of the old fashioned feel) Really good Mexican restaurant on site. Clean and really comfortable beds, which is the most important thing as it ensured a great night’s sleep.
This motel was great - everything you need and more at a fantastic price. Was really impressed that there was a swimming pool on site, as well as breakfast included. Lots of fantastic little bars and restaurants just a 10-15 minute walk away. Flagstaff is a really wonderful place to visit and perfectly situated for both the Grand Canyon and Sedona - will definitely be back and would stay here again.
Flagstaff
We were looking for a hotel that was walkable to Flagstaff Amtrak Station and restaurants as we had no car. The hotel was perfect for this. The only reason that I did not give the hotel a 10 in all categories was that had I been staying longer, I would have preferred a shower that was in a little bit better condition. It seemed to be showing signs of age.
Hotel Aspen was perfect for my one night stay in Flagstaff. It’s close enough to downtown without being too loud or busy. The staff was friendly and I felt safe with the covid precautions they were taking in the lobby. My room was clean and comfortable. There may have been chipped paint on the walls but I was happy with this choice.
Everything! This hotel is fantastic! This is my 3rd stay and it was just as good, if not better than the prior two stays. Property is amazing! Staff is fantastic! Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. This is the only hotel I will stay in when o come to Flagstaff.
Flagstaff
Comfortable beds, sheets, pillows. Fridge and microwave in room. Laundry onsite and you can get quarters from reception. Unlike most Flagstaff hotels this isn't across from the railway line so the train noise was pretty minimal - I slept very well.
Ideally placed for visiting Grand Canyon and Sedona - flagstaff is a lovely little town with good restaurants and services. a good value for money motel with good services and very helpful staff.
the beautiful location would have loved to stay for longer. Passing through Flagstaff on a move to CA but come back again and loved the hotel it was clean, easy to find, and a great stay.
Did well with Covid-19 guidelines. Hotel halls were clean, kitchenette room was clean an quieter as we requested.Location is perfect for downtown historic Flagstaff wandering!
The hotel is conveniently located in Flagstaff. The room was clean and everthing fairly new. The receptionist was very nice and I think for the price it was a decent hotel.
The room with the bunk beds! Finally the perfect accommodations for my family of 5! I wish every hotel had this option! We love staying here when we’re in Flagstaff!
Drury is my favorite place to stay in Flagstaff because of the dog friendly nature (no extra cost for dogs) and the proximity to downtown! Just a walk away!
Great location right off the i40, close enough to downtown flagstaff. Friendly staff, clean hotel & loved the hot tub after a day of walking
« in its sauce » ! it’s a cow boy time hotel, like in the movies, with warm welcoming bars and restaurant. wonderful ambiance
