Great mountain town filled with excellent restaurants, local boutiques and scenic hiking trails that start in downtown. Very charming town! Would return annually if we didn't have to cross LA's horrific traffic which added a 2 hour delay.

I am a re-visitor of Idyllwild, I love it there!
I am a re-visitor of Idyllwild, I love it there! It's only a two hour drive from Orange County, there are some great hikes, very dog-friendly. There is a nice variety of shops to browse through, restaurants with good food and places to get any supplies you may need.

Great village worth coming to for Xmas tree lighting.
Great village worth coming to for Xmas tree lighting. Friendly people walking around and as well as friendly shop owners. Lots of older structures for lodging. Best part is meeting mayor max. Loved the brewery and Mamas egg house got meals. Looking forward to returning next year for our 4th visit during thanksgiving weekend. We recruited another family for our yearly visit.

The facility was great!
The facility was great! The atmosphere was beautiful and the majesty of the setting was inspirational! The rooms were cute and comfortable! The staff - Tim was absolutely fantastic! He was so helpful...carrying our things, helping with the set-up and made sure we had what we needed! Tim lit the firepit providing ambiance for our outdoor experience in the evening. The next day he arranged for time in the sauna and set up the gathering and meeting rooms perfectly! The chapel was spacious and provided the perfect atmosphere for prayer. Tim was always nice and welcoming as we went in and out of the facility...with a great smile! When it was time to leave, my car would not start. Tim willingly came to the rescue and got us back on the road!

Idyllwild is a beautiful mountain getaway full of charm and tranquility. Surrounded by tall pines and fresh mountain air, it’s the perfect place to relax and reconnect with nature. The town has lovely cafés, art galleries, and friendly locals who make you feel right at home. Whether you’re hiking, shopping, or just enjoying the peaceful atmosphere, Idyllwild is a gem you’ll want to visit again and again.

Idyllwild itself is a really cute small mountain town, and...
Idyllwild itself is a really cute small mountain town, and we would definitely visit again. But will be sure to really do a deeper dive into where we stay. There are MANY hiking trails, we were told of the Ernie Maxwell trail by another guest who recommended it as they are very familiar with the area, and it was GREAT!!! They had a cute 4th of July parade which was really cool to see the whole town/local area come together, and overall the locals were good people!

I stayed in one of the cabins and it was absolutely perfectly sized for my needs as a single traveler, I was able to use the kitchen, the WiFi and power were excellent. It’s right in the middle of Idyllwild and of course close to all of the trails in the area that I was visiting.

Idyllwild Inn is the perfect location, and is the most amazing way to experience Idyllwild. The cabins are absolutely idyllic, with history as well. The staff were so welcoming too! I don't usually review, but felt compelled to. Please don't skip this place!

Having a fireplace in the room was a great bonus in a cold night. The Inn feels blended with the forest. Idyllwild is a charming place.
