Our trip was quick, primarily to go to the Longwood Gardens.
Our trip was quick, primarily to go to the Longwood Gardens. Was disappointed that it was closed on Tuesdays since we drove to Kennett Square on Monday and left Wednesday. We got to go on Monday but only for about 3 hours and a half. I could have stayed longer. It was beautiful and worth the trip. Next day we explored Winterthur another lovely place with a lot of history & great for relaxing & enjoying nature. Also ideal for hikers as there are a lot of hiking trails. The house tour was fascinating. Later we went into the town of Kennett Square for dinner. The town has little shops and restaurants. It was pleasant to walk around and ate dinner at The Tavola restaurant. Very nice place (outdoor seating & indoors)& food was very good. Finished off the day by using the jacuzzi at the hotel to massage our feet and back after long day of walking.
