We stayed at the Loft. We had a second floor apartment for ourselves. It was spacious, with a full kitchen, and a huge patio to enjoy the views of the Bay and nearby park. We loved the serenity and beauty of nature of this location. It's a peaceful and yet very well developed area. Plenty of places to eat and drink. Morro Bay is a short drive away. Thank you to the Back Bay Inn and the staff. We had a wonderful time here.

We stayed in the Starlight Room on the 4th floor and had amazing views throughout the day. Best part is the 4th floor is connected via a bridge to the parking space, so you don't have to climb the stairs if you have a bunch of suitcases. The room itself is wonderful, carpet is thick and plush, the shower is FANTASTIC probably the best shower I've ever had, and the bathrobes are super comfortable. I'm sure everyone's already mentioned the decor, but underneath the glitzy gaudy surface is a really solid hotel with great showers, wonderful beds, good views and good solid food from the steakhouse and cafe.

    Roaches lots of them!

    Roaches lots of them! I had to buy Lysol and other disinfectants along with everything else roach repellant. Lady was not inviting towards us at all. We will be requesting refund don't stay here! Don't stay at the Olive tree inn n suites

    We were married there 57 years ago so we return for our anniversary. We love the Street Fair on Thursday night in SLO and it is central to go to Morro Bay, Cayucos, or Pismo. We love Duckies in Cayucos and the Splash in Pismo. Brown Butter Cookies in Cayucos and Cowboy Cookies in Pismo are great too.

    Beautiful small city with a comfortably busy downtown full of art galleries, restaurants, boutiques, museums, and historic landmarks. The weather was perfect every day, which is typical for the area most of the year. San Luis Obispo is also close to some of the best beaches in California.

    SLO and eazy. The city does it right. Close to all the wonders of the central coast: highway 1 to Big Sur, Morro Bay, Pismo Beach, wine tasting in paso Robles. Abundance of restaurants and shops, great weather and the Mission all make SLO a great place to visit.

    There is a farmers market downtown on Thursday evenings during the summer. Though my recent visit was on a Tuesday, I've been to the event in the past and it's an enjoyable way to spend the evening. I highly recommend Louisa's Place for breakfast. Most (but not all) of the seating is at the counter, so that could be a problem for families or groups of people. I arrived at 8:00 and luckily there was one seat at the counter. When I left about 45 minutes later, there were at least a dozen people waiting to be seated. The food is great. Look online and decide if it is right for you.

    One of the best hotels we have stayed in. Flat out very well done. From the moment you arrive in the car, easy to find park up with great staff. Big rooms with modern feel, amazing roof pool and bar with 100% best location centrally. Highly recommend you stay its a proper hotel. + check out the sushi place in the market one of the best... + the local craft beer bar is amazing... just 5 mins walk away.

    Conveniently located for exploring San Luis Obispo and the surrounding area by car. The hotel is quite basic, but good for staying a couple of nights. Parking is just in front and it's possible to walk to the centre, which was great.
