Super clean at a great price. The room and shared areas were very clean and welcoming. Full size toiletries in the bathroom, not the tiny motel bar soaps.

Microwave and Refrigerator was a big plus. Television watched good movies. Loved the shower.

If you're looking for a fancy hotel with tons of amenities, the Wolf Inn probably isn't the place for you—and that's okay. You get what you pay for. But if you're looking for a reasonably priced, convenient place to sleep, especially if you're going to Cedar Point, I actually really like it. This was my fourth time staying at the Wolf Inn over the past three years with my kids, and the biggest reason I keep coming back is the location and convenience. It's close to Cedar Point, and the Executive Suites building has a breakfast/donut shop attached to it. I really like being able to just walk over in the morning, grab coffee and breakfast, and let everybody get ready without having to load everyone into the car just to go somewhere to eat. I've stayed in the Executive Suites building every time, so that's the one I can really speak to from experience. I did have an issue with the room I was given on one of my previous stays, but the staff accommodated me and allowed me to switch rooms, which I appreciated. Is it fancy? No. 😂 Does it have a bunch of amenities? No. But that's not what I'm looking for when I'm taking my kids to Cedar Point. I need a clean, reasonably priced place that's convenient, gives us somewhere to sleep, and makes getting up and out to the park easier. For that purpose, the Wolf Inn works really well for me, and that's why I've continued to come back.

Enough space for my family and staff was really friendly. The breakfast staff was awesome.

The Avalon Inn is a great place to stay in Sandusky. The bathroom has a large tub and high water pressure for the shower plenty of hot water if you decided to take a bath or a longer shower. The fridge and freezer is large enough to fit a lot of food in it. It’s not the typical mini fridge you find in hotels/motels which was a happy surprise. The air conditioner worked very well which is a must on hot humid summer days. They have an ice machine that is operational. There’s an outdoor pool it was too cool out but it would be nice on a hot day. The owners are amazing they are very kind and are happy to help if you need anything. I’ve stayed at several budget friendly places in Sandusky and this is by far the best one by a long shot. The next time I’m visiting Sandusky I will be staying there again.

I recently stayed here for a quick getaway, and while it wasn’t top-of-the-line, it was a charming and enjoyable experience overall. The room had its ups and downs. It wasn’t as clean as I would have liked—the carpets were dingy, and there was dust in the corners. However, the bed was very comfortable, and the couch paired with the faux fireplace created a warm and inviting atmosphere. What stood out were the thoughtful little touches: a bottle of red wine, some chocolate, and a guestbook where previous visitors left their experiences and notes. Those details added a personal and cozy vibe. The on-site amenities were a pleasant surprise, with a bowling alley offering free games, plus a bar and restaurant. It’s clear the place isn’t aiming for luxury, but it’s still a great spot for a relaxing evening away. If they focused a bit more on cleanliness, it would really elevate the experience, but for the price and the atmosphere, I’d consider coming back.
