I have shared my feedback with booking.com also. I would not recommend staying here. I attempted to call to front desk 3x before my arrival. After the 4th attempt Marie answered. I told her I attempted to call 3x and her response was "we are a bit busy right now." When I arrived 3 minutes later we were the only customers in the lobby. She said she was making coffee and had to go get it. Isn't customer service more important than coffee? I really was calling because I wanted to know how I could get the keyless entry, which is what the email said to do "call hotel for information." I also felt Maria was not properly dressed for work, but for the beach. Maybe a sweater over her tank top would have been more appropriate. My second complaint is the washcloth I took off the shelf had mascara on it. Made me wonder if our room had truly been sanitized and cleaned before we checked in. Also, Maria made it sound like we didn't have a confirmed room when we checked in. It was like she only had one room left. Customer service at the front desk needs to improve with the staff for sure. I'm not sure I'll be staying here again.

Wyndham in Southport,NC has bed bugs. Asked for a refund from the hotel and they refused, saying bc I booked them a third party, aka Booking.com they could not refund our room. Bedbugs are unacceptable, also the room was nasty in general, no towels or anything else. Looked like the room had not been cleaned in a while Would never stay here again!!

I noticed that during this time of COVID19, mini residence of Southport animal as well as visitors from the local North Carolina State area we’re not conscious of social distancing and mask wearing. While normally I love this area to visit , if I were concerned about Covid19, were elderly or have pre-consisting conditions , it is not a place I would visit at this time.

This place seemed awesome had that sleepy old time fishing village feel to it. Stayed for 2.5 days should have and would have liked to stay longer to check it out and explore. Have already made arrangements for next year to stay there for 10 days and all I can say is can not wait!

You must go to Fishy Fishy and sit at a table on the pier. The Blackened Scallops and Shrimp is amazing as is the Coconut Shrimp. There are several resale stores and plenty of shopping with the beach within 15 min.

Great place full of friendly people. Not nearly as much of a tourist destination as Hilton Head, Outter Banks or Myrtle Beach. Much less crowded, way quieter and more laid back "more like costal living town". Absolutely pleased with the area and will certainly visit again.
