Good location and good value for money

Cool historic building, kind helpful staff and the BEST machine for morning coffee in the cute and comfy lobby :)

When I asked River the nicest most helpful man checked me in. The room was amazing it was quiet and clean and I felt safe.

room / location/ parking

Very nice staff, nice place, good bed, good shower!

This was a super clean, modern motel, which shocked me! It also has free parking! WTF! To be honest, I'm pretty picky with my hotels, so I was taking a chance here. However, I was more than pleased. It's best for a no-frills, super clean and conveinnet and cost effective stay. Would do it again!

Big bed. Quiet. Cosy. Free parking, first come, first serve. Reception was friendly. Notified us when the maid wasn't able to come. Good location.

Ease of check in. And was able to accommodate an early check in. They also have a locked baggage storage they allowed me to use after I checked out since I wasn't leaving town for a few hours. Older building but that's part of the charm.

Rooms were nice, comfortable, and tidy. Enjoyed the two rooftops, one with a fire pit, to relax and hang out as well as a zen garden, and a fire pit outside the lobby. The Twisted Street Cafe was delicious and very accommodating. The location is good too. Right around the corner from Chestnut which has restaurants, bars, and shopping! A very enjoyable stay! Looking forward to going back! I’d like to check out the fitness room 😊

Very comfortable and good location, with great parking.

The staff was attentive and helpful. Charming hotel and great location

Staff are friendly, the location is good, and there is a Whole Foods Market nearby, no homeless around makes me feel safe. Super convenient traffic with the bus station. Enjoy the experience at Holiday Inn this time and definitely will recommend it to my friends.

The hotel is great (despite a tiny room) everything is nice.

Super comfortable rooms , great location and stuff

Everything was clean the beds were comfy and the location was down the street from Union square

People were so nice I felt like I was at home

The Monte Cristo is a warm, welcoming, wonderful place to stay! We enjoyed its unique ambiance and history along with the comfortable rooms, fabulous always-available snacks, hot breakfast, and modern bathrooms. The location was perfect, within walking distance to the Presidio and not far from other San Francisco attractions. And by the way - San Francisco felt very, very safe, no matter what you hear. A gorgeous city.

Location, quality, service impeccable

Safe location and facilities very clean

I loved having my own little hideout where I could simply live. Fun to cook breakfast there, and hangout. Very convenient location for parks, bus route, and Fillmore St shopping.

Beautiful, clean, well maintained property with friendly, helpful staff!

This cute little boutique hotel is full of charm, and in a prime location. It is my go-to hotel for short stopovers when traveling solo or with my wife. Beds are comfy, vibe is cozy and welcoming, little backyard area is an oasis. The staff are just so polite, professional and friendly.

I like the decor and ambiance of the hotel that fits its name. The staff were all kind and helpful. They were there when you need them.
