The property and accommodation was perfect.
The property and accommodation was perfect. It was just as what was advertised. The breakfast was well presented and good. The staff was very friendly and polite. If there was a negative it would be the toilet seat that needs replacing and also to ensure that all toiletry containers are full before guests arrive. Also there was no hand soap for the hand basin. Other than that we had a good stay.

George is a beautiful place with gorgeous picturesque areas but unfortunately I couldn't visit as I I was only passing through only stayed for one night. The location of this hotel is conveniently across the mall where you can go shopping have lunch or dinner. The lady at the reception also told us of other best restaurants we can visit in town and we found the best for our dinner their food was amazing 👏

Pathetic service, an absolute lie (4-star).
Pathetic service, an absolute lie (4-star). Will never ever visit this hotel again, and will make sure to advise others accordingly. In fact, will address this on 'Hello Peter' website to inform the rest of the world!!! Will also review on Booking.com
Shower leaking into the passage and bedroom. Basin running very slowly. Towels more than 10 years old, tattered at the ends and very thin. Toiletries not replenished at all. Uncountable amount of dirty stains on the carpet floor throughout the room, absolutely disgusting. TV loses signal all the time. WiFi signal is very poor. Kettle physically broken. What a disaster... definitely not a 4-star hotel, should be investigated for false advertising.
Manager not really perturbed by the complaints and doesn't really appear to be concerned by the ridiculous condition of the room, because the hotel is apparently "fully booked".
I've been to the Garden Route more that 15 years in a row and by far my worst experience!!

George is a city that MUST be visited by all South Africans.
George is a city that MUST be visited by all South Africans. George, along with Knysna and Plettenberg Bay are the most beautiful destinations in our country. The beaches are amazing (Heralds Bay and Victoria Bay) and the people are friendly. This really is the place to go to get away from the busyness of Joburg and get some decent rest.

Nice location, close to everything and safe area.
Nice location, close to everything and safe area. Come and go during the day and no need for assistance to enter property as you have your own code.Wifi excellent even during loadshedding. All the items you may have forgotton home was in the room to use. Not too many rooms and hot water no problem even it is fully booked. Nice garden area to relax after a busy, tired day. Very friendly dog that meets you on arrival and say goodbuy when departing. Excellent stay..thank you.
Goodmorning fellow people. This was my very first trip with my daughter 💕 who is eight years old, to the western cape. I'm entirely satisfied with the facilities of 15 Witpeer str. We were welcomed by friendly staff and residents of the guests house. And being at the feet of the majestic Outiniqua mountain is view that will linger on in one's memory. I shall not say anything further as it could obscure ones individual perception when staying at this venue. Thankyou.
This was the perfect place for us. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. The room we stayed in was clean, comfortable and good value for money. The area was also quiet and peaceful. The garden/pool area was beautiful. It actually exceeded our expectations for the price we paid. I would really recommend this place. I will definitely be back again!
(Thank you to our hosts for creating a great experience for our first time in George).
I had a wonderful stay at Oakhurst. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful (I arrived very late from Cape Town and they were very welcoming and understanding!). The rooms are very comfortable and extremely clean. The hotel is very central and close to several good restaurants as well as the mountain trails. I would highly recommend this hotel for your stay in George.
The Breakfast was average not Three Star rating as I have worked in a Three Star Hotel. Unfortunately the Person representing the Owner was Reception Host / Maintenance was also the Breakfast Chef and Waiter. Location was out of the City of George.
The Bed was comfortable, and shower with my own Shower Gel. Partner used the only Shower Gel.
Clean rooms. Very delicious breakfast and coffee. Friendly staff. Close to the center of town and the mall. Honestly, this was better than some hotels I've stayed in, including Marriott Hotels. They also have solar panels, which they didn't mention but it is a great bonus.
The Environment was excellent, easy to find off the York street. Quiet & safe. Neat and tidy.. Very Professional in handling of the Clients. Oohh I must say, Selma was very humble and patient with us cause we were a bit late she was still looking forward to Accommodate us.
Rina is a super host. Everything was just right on my 3 night stay; comfortable and clean room, great breakfast, solid WiFi even during load shedding, in a lovely quiet rural property close to the main routes. I will definitely return when staying in George.
Very central to shopping malls, the hotel is pretty, with a beautiful garden. The rooms are exceptionally clean and near, beds are comfortable and the staff very friendly. I also like that they have smoking rooms and that they cater for all.
Lovely view and forest all around. The facility was well equipped and no loadshedding was experienced. The host was friendly and helpful. Parking was provided off the street. Close to the town/city of George and right on the N2.
Property is in a perfect location... We wanted the mountains, which were 1k away and it's 300m from town.
Perfectly quiet, so it was ideal.
Had everything that we needed, so very comfy!
As a single lady, I felt safe! Jan is a friendly host and just wants the best for his quests. Always friendly but also very professional! The quest house is one of the best in George!
Perfect location for the occasion we attended. The room was big and spacious. Friendly staff and the restaurant food was great 👌
Definitely coming back when I visit George again.
