A quaint town with lots of choices (even during COVID...
A quaint town with lots of choices (even during COVID restrictions) for dining (take out), boutique shops, and history. Diksmuide has delicious local butter, cheeses, beers, etc. It is a nice place to visit in addition the the bigger cities of Ypres, Brugge, and various Belgian beach towns. In Duiksmuide, there were trails for kids and adults for walking, biking, etc.

The location was great - within easy walking distance of restaurants, bars etc. (Not that we were fit to walk very far.) The rooms were immaculate and comfortable. Breakfast was very good, with plenty choice. By far the biggest asset of the hotel is the owner, Pauline. She was so helpful and friendly, and couldn't do enough to make our brief stay enjoyable.
