Beautiful views, very friendly locals. You would need car to go places as it is out the way. Plenty of taxis to call. Ate in restaurant during our stay at The punch bowl, well recommended, the traditional cooked breakfast was yum yum.

Hotel 52 was superb. Staff friendly and accommodating.

Hotel 52 was superb. Staff friendly and accommodating. Any information requested was given with ease. The restaurant is shared by the hotel and another bisiness. Hotel 52 uses it for breakfast, you hekp ypurself to cereal, pastries, yoghurt, fruit juice and coffee. Tea is available on request as is your cooked breakfast, toast and jam. Staff will even make you more if requested. On a evening the restaurant is run by another company - we were very disappointed with this, they dodn't serve the full menu and the staff were rudr and jad an unacceptable attitude. However this dod not reflect on the excellent service offered by thr Hotel.

Booked Beamish Hall Hotel as it's right next (1 mile drive) to the Beamish Museum. It was also my wife's birthday weekend. From the Reception staff contacting me regarding booking a restaurant reservation to completing my request for flowers and champagne to be placed in the room upon arrival, everyone was absolutely fantastic. Always welcoming no matter how many times we left or entered the hotel. And the room - so spacious and well kept; impressed myself and wife with the quality of the room.

Hotel room was as expected, nice welcoming, room was a little bit cold but we were told by the lady on the bar when we checked in that we come use a portable heater, which was great..bed was soo comfy , breakfast was a 10+, lovely friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble, plenty of free parking too, garage close by, and with us visiting Beamish museum it was a 5 min drive away, will definately book again later in the year, and visit Beamish too again.

Stunning grounds and entrance. Clean and modern. Lovely restaurant with nice staff. Ease of access. Hotel staff were so accommodating- Susan and Alex really made it such a a wonderful experience. The highlight was the night porter who ran all sorts of errands for us in the morning. He was a legend but we didn’t get his name!
