Killala is a lovely place. The town is very clean and tidy.
Killala is a lovely place. The town is very clean and tidy. The people are charming, very friendly and helpful. There are good places to eat and drink. I went into a pub just before closing on the Sunday evening of a Bank Holiday weekend for food and it was no problem at all. There are several beautiful beaches not far from Killala. There are 2 easy walks in and around the town, along the quay and a greenway, part of which goes past a local horse racing yard. The scenery is striking and it is a place of historical interest too.Guest review byGrace - 8.0

Killala is a really nice little town. There are three pubs one of which does food The Village Inn, the food there is excellent and quite reasonably priced! It’s a nice pleasant walk by the sea from the town to the small harbour . It also has a few historic sites worth visiting . Overall a very relaxing place to visitGuest review byJohnIreland - 10.0

Historical village (cathedral, round tower) and a great base for exploring the area. Ross Strand beach is only a few minutes drive away. Lovely offroad walk around village (follow greenway signs) and can follow road back towards village and down to the quay.
