The place is beautiful, clean, and comfortable—perfect for groups, with a BBQ area available. The bathroom is lovely, and the location shouldn’t be a problem if you rent a car or arrange transfers. The TV offers a wide variety of movies to enjoy. The dining area is right next to the house, which is very convenient. The cook and the host are both kind and take great care of guests. The breakfast is simple but delicious and very fitting.

The easygoing and helpful hosts; the delicious meals that warms not just your stomach but your heart because every dish is cooked with love; the proximity it is to the wild sections of the Great Wall; the superb design of the property from an awesome common hall/dining area to heated floors (our room had it) to heated toilet seats etc; the comfortable bed and couch; the view of the Great Wall from the room… Ruirui patiently helped me with my enquiries while Xiao Wei hosted my children and I with much kindness, concern and consideration throughout our stay. She’s also the cook and we would slurp up everything she prepares. The calm and serene vibe this accommodation gives makes one wants to stay longer :) our first day we did a night walk of Simatai section Great Wall that included the cable car (expensive! But enjoyable)… second day we hiked up the wild Great Wall. I felt this pace was slow and lovely for my younger children.

The family was great. She can cook really delicious and he can help you with the transportation around, knowing perfectly the surroundings, you can win a lot of time, and visit a lot, even catch the sunrise on the Great Wall which is for sure unique and only with a local can be done. I stayed only one night but felt as it was a week. Perfectly planned with the help of both of them. Thanks a lot for everything!! Rooms are super spacious and newly renovated. Bed super confortabile. Hot water at your disposal, towels, slippers, everything u need. Perfect.

A great place to stay to visit the great wall and experience a peaceful Chinese village. The entrance to the great wall is just a short walk. This section of the great wall is so quiet that we have the whole place to ourselves. It is also not very restored so you get to see some of the original wall. They also cooked fresh food from their garden for us. I have been to Beijing twice and did all the major tourist spots. I have to say staying here and hiking the wall in peace is my best Beijing experience.
