The rooms exceeded my expectations—very clean with a beautiful riverside view. It’s convenient for ordering local transportation (DiDi) and just a 15-minute walk to Nanjing Road, or 10 minutes to the MRT (across the bridge). The lady who assisted me was very friendly and checked daily if I needed a water refill. On Chinese maps, this location is listed as ‘River House Houlou.

I stayed for the seveth time at this hotel and first time after China reopened for business and it is as great as ever. The staff is frindly and at the reception English is not an issue, the hotel is perfectly located in the center of Shanghai, very close to the metro station, there are plenty of restaurants in the vicinity, and it is overall reasonably priced.
