RIU is a great hotel if you want a central location in Chicago.
Downtown is still in walking distance and you can reach almost all the attractions very easily by public transport as well. The zone is safe, even if you have a walk in the evening hours.
Hotel staff is friendly and helpful, they remember you during your stay.
The room was pretty big and super comfortable, we did like the mattress a lot! Room is perfectly clean and well equipped. The bathroom is quite large and it is really luxurious. I did like that they offer you free bottles of water in your room that is not typical in all 4+ star places nowadays.
Breakfast is fabulous: great quality food and wide range of choices!!
Rooftop bar offers a fantastic panoramic view of the city, it is nice both in the daylight and in the dark!
