Modern concrete and stone building with lovely views. A very rough driveway leads to the B&B – our rental Fiat scraped bottom several times. Despite sending a message with our exact arrival time, nobody was on site when we drove up. Make sure you have a way to communicate (in Italian) when you arrive. The room was very clean and modern, but a few basics were missing – the building seemed to be brand-new. There was no desk or writing table and no convenient place to use a computer or charge electronic devices, and no wastepaper basket in the room. The Wi-fi worked well. Because there were no lights on the exterior stairway or door, we needed to use a phone/flashlight to light our way to unlock the door when we returned from dinner. There were no nearby restaurants open the night we stayed; even in Urbino it can be difficult to find a place to eat. There was an excellent (early) breakfast provided. Although the booking.com listing states that English is spoken, our hostess only communicated in (rapid-fire) Italian.

The family was very kind and helpful. There were maps, tourist information and restaurant recommendations in the spacious common area, along with fresh fruit and nuts. Daniele reached out several times to make sure of my arrival time so that I could check in quickly. The bedroom was good size for one person and the bathroom looked brand new. The shower had great water pressure too! Breakfast was wonderful, with lots of delicious savory and sweet offerings. They asked me what time I wanted breakfast served each day, which was nice because it varied each day. I thought it was a great value for the price paid.
