The guest house front desk was full of good information and the staff was extra helpful with any questions. The property is nicely located, has nice accomodations, and is in a beautiful town.

We absolutely loved staying here. Octavio was as helpful and nice as the reviews all say. He greeted us with a drink and offered us information that was very helpful. He even offered to take us down to the station in the morning when we had to leave early. The beds were comfortable. There is toast and jam and coffee waiting for us in the morning. The shared baths and shower were spotless and there was never a conflict. The location near the temple walk was lovely as was the entire town.

We loved the location as it was close the the morning market and late night dining. The room was spacious and it was nice to have access To a refrigerator and a shared living area for tea. A great pick for families. We didn’t interact with staff except for check in and check out but they were friendly and helpful. Would recommend

We were lucky enough to be the only group that was booked during our stay, and it was exceptional. The house offered a little slice of what country life is like but still have the accessibility to a decent sized town. The Japanese garden was relaxing, and having a little family shine out back by the woods really made the property even more special. We took the tatami room and I was afraid that it might be uncomfortable, but it was some of the best sleep I had during our trip. If you plan to take a bus there, take the H02 or H03 (Hirayu s Hiohotaka line - stop H14) and walk about 10 minutes. He property itself has 3 rooms that the owner rents out, 2 tatami rooms and 1 western style room. There is a full kitchen downstairs, a bathtub, and a separate washroom, which was a nice touch since it allowed us to do our thing without having to wait for the toilet/shower. On our last night, we cooked a little meal and enjoyed it in the traditional dining rood.

The staff is so kind. He allow me to use the parking after the check-out time. The house is super cozy. There is everything you want for cooking. if I go to Takayama, I will stay here again for sure.

The apartment was very clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. We stayed for one night during the Takayama festival as a couple but it can accommodate more guests. The open-air bath was fun and easy to use with privacy.

We stayed there for about 5 days, and I absolutely loved it. The property was far from the train station but near the famous Old Town which I really loved. And our room was conveniently situated on the first floor and was facing a beautiful small zen garden. It was so homey. And not to mention, the owner was super helpful. We didn’t see him much but he helped us carrying our bags into our room. I loved my stay there.
