In Hamburg, everyone can find something for themselves, we spent 4 days here and had to filter what we wanted to manage to see, because there are countless places to visit. I definitely recommend the "Hafen und Speicherstadt boat tour" and "Landesbruecke", especially at the end Fischbroetchen no. 10

Despite being fire-bombed during the war, Hamburg has a great vibe and is very multicultural. It also has an active memory culture, with many sites of victims of Nazism and Stolpersteine in the city. An interesting destination for a weekend. Ignore Tripadvisor's uncultured recommendations and check out the war heritage instead.

Hamburg is a really cool city with some great bars, restaurants and things to do. It also has the slightly darker side with it's famous red light district but this well policed and you can avoid is required but the surrounding area is good for a night out. I would recommend trying to get to see a St Pauli game, an incredible experience.

Beautiful, vibrant city with an amazing array of old and modern architecture. Visitors are spoilt for choice with museums and a fine array of shops and restaurants. Easy to get around with public transport and English is widely spoken.

I think Hamburg is underrated.

I think Hamburg is underrated. It is a port city and quite spread out. We were surprised about how much there was to do. Highlights were the opera house, spice museum (its a crazy little place but fun) and the maritime museum is HUGE. There was also a cat cafe Katzentemple for Vegan food. Great for lunch! It is a city though and the charm was spreadout. If you want a smaller version go to Bremen - also worth a visit. We could have stayed longer and done more, but we were limited by the weather (heavy snow).

It is a very elegant hotel, offering different restaurants, a lovely bar, extremly good breakfast. The lake is beautiful nearby. There is a professional staff, it is almost unique in Germany. (Only in the bigger 5 star hotels have an adequate number of employees.)

Nothing particular in general. I am a regular customer at Leonardo, but this one is not as good as the other Leonardo hotels in Germany, or even the other one in Hamburg Nord. It's maybe okay as a stop in transit, as you can relax in sauna.

The rooms are cleaned, staff at reception gave me directions and a map on how to get to the city centre by bus. I saw lots of families with children. I loved the breakfast buffet. I greatly recommend Dorint Hotel Hamburg-Eppendorf.
