I’ll be honest: I arrived at Hostel Cooldocks with some reservations after reading a few mixed reviews, but I ended up being pleasantly surprised. My experience was genuinely better than expected. The hostel is clean, modern, and well-organized. The rooms and common areas were tidy, and the beds were comfortable enough for a really good night’s sleep. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the overall vibe felt relaxed rather than chaotic, which I really appreciated. The location is also a big plus, easy to get around Rotterdam from here, with public transport nearby and plenty to explore in the area. For the price, it offers excellent value. Overall, Cooldocks proved that reviews don’t always tell the full story. I’m glad I gave it a chance and would definitely consider staying here again. A solid option if you’re visiting Rotterdam and want something affordable, clean, and comfortable.

I loved the large and varied common spaces and the super friendly staff. Everyone was helpful. They have a great place to store your luggage (self serve combination lockers) which were extremely convenient for us because we had a big day planned locally on the day of checkout. It’s centrally located and near public transit.

Budget travelers know there's no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: Save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a little more.
