    I visit Dubai on a regular basis since my son lives there. I like the city, the services, the safety, the cleanliness, the people, etc. I would consider spending few months per year, if the air quality of the city was better. Sadly it is the biggest problem everyone is concerned about and speaks of. And naturally it is my concern for my children who live in the city. Unfortunately the summer months the pollution is hazardous to one's health. I should think it is a subject that concerns the goverment as well.

    This was the 4th time we have stopped over and enjoyed it...

    This was the 4th time we have stopped over and enjoyed it considerably, have spent a total of 6 days there, and could have spent longer. The building Architecture was quite interesting and novel in many cases. One of the highlights was the "Leaning Tower" on way to Abu Dhabi. Overall we saw the Dubai Fountains light/music show and the Dubai Mall including the Aquarium. Did a boat tour on the creek/old town, and a day trip to Abu Dhabi, which included the Grand Mosque and Palace. Felt comfortable using the Metro trains, up there with the best in the world. There is a lot more to see. To be honest, just like Singapore, I personally feel that Dubai is a "stop-over" rather than a destination. However it is definitely worth staying a number of days at a time or a week if only one visit, this would certainly would be fully utilised and enjoyed. There is quite a lot to see and do there. However, what I feel is critical is the time of year, (winter) November to March is the best season, unfortunately this is not the best for Europe, so my wife and I planned for the shoulder which was Sept/Oct and April/May. The rest of the year is very hot, but everything including metro stations is air conditioned. We felt quite safe there, and the people were quite friendly.

    Spent 4 full days, after Kenyan Safari.

    Spent 4 full days, after Kenyan Safari. Unfortunately did not do a lot of visiting sites. Tired and just thoroughly enjoyed the hotel. Did take a day trip to Abu Dhabi which was excellent . So very safe. Be prepared Dubai airport is huge, walked 3.2 miles from gate to baggage, should have grabbed a airport cart.

    It is not a city to visit within a budget because there are always things you need to spend extra money on. You cannot travel without Uber or renting a car. It can be annoying for women because when you try to ask a question to someone working at a hotel or anywhere else, they look at the man next to you, not at you, and ignore you.

    the best rooftop by far than any other in the area, with views over the beach and Marina buildings in the distance, and views towards the Burj Khalifa, the whole roof is rooftop pool / bar / restaurant with sun lounges, and even has jacuzzi’s to watch sunset. There is also another pool on level 3 with sun lounges. The hotel also offers free sun lounges on the beach in front of the hotel which has a bar & restaurant, if I was to stay in the palm Jumeriah area again I would stay here.

    There was a variety of Indian breakfast ,cereals and pastries. There is a metro station which is 5 mins walking distance from the hotel. Dubai marina is nearby. You have a shuttle bus to go to the mall of Emirates. Hearty thanks to Mr Adhiraj who allowed me an early check in as well as breakfast. He has given me a very comfy room with a nice view. Special thanks to the concierge particularly Mr Anorld and Mr Denis who have helped me a lot. They are always ready to help.
