The room was nicely refurbished with good linen and surprisingly quiet. Handy access to Coles and few takeaways. Wifi worked well. Plenty of parking when I arrived. Shared bathroom facilities were not a problem.
On the beachfront, Pullman Magenta Shores Resort features direct beach access, 2 tennis courts, indoor and outdoor pools, a fitness center and spa facilities.

This area is relaxing and a good base for a holiday on the coast north of Sydney which is less than 2 hours drive south of The Entrance. The railway line is 20 km away so a car is required.Eating was a little disappointing. Most restaurants were quiet. The area has a bit of a retro feel with the entertainment area on the Lakeside with ferris wheel , dodgem cars and rides and an abundance of Lolly shops.

The Entrance is a beautiful place with lovely views and local people. There are great shops to walk along and browse and plenty of options for something to eat and drink. There's a great children's playground and a water park feature also. There is also timed sessions for Pelican feedings. Definitely recommend The Entrance, it is a great family friendly place to stay.

This beachside town has suffered similarly to many others in the off tourist season with many premises being closed down, dirty streets and hoodlum car operators driving around. Whilst we were able to enjoy some good service from eateries attended the general feel of the town is not overly pleasant, possibly added to by not so great weather during our visit.

The Entrance looks tired.
The Entrance looks tired. It has so much potential but many of the motels are old or unloved. There was no opportunity to paddle board and all the boats for hire looked like they needed some upgrades. There seems to be very little development happening.
We loved eating in all the local restaurants and I’m glad that the permanent shade shelters have been installed outside most restaurants.

The Entrance is a like finding gold in a gold mine.
The Entrance is a like finding gold in a gold mine. Its such a beautiful place, whether you are caravanning, camping or holidaying in a resort or apartment it suits everyone's needs. offers so much and often above your expectations. Its a place you find and want to come back every year to build memories. GREAT PLACE TO HOLIDAY AT, AND POSSIBLY A GREAT PLAVE TO EVEN LIVE IN, IF HAD THE OPPORTUNITY.

The Entrance waterfront and restaurants are great but...
The Entrance waterfront and restaurants are great but further afield, things aren't the way they used to be. Many shops have closed and those that hadn't, open late. There is not one good bakery for example.
Driving Falls Creek to Brisbane so just needed a place to sleep halfway for 6 hours or so and this was perfect. Value for money for a clean bed with hot shower (shared) but just what I was after. Holly, the manager, was friendly and very helpful when I needed an extension lead to charge my phone as the power points were to close to the floor to use my only charger which was oversize with multiple USB ports.
Great location, just 400M away from Long Jetty, next door is Diggers, very nice place for dining. 2 KM to the Entrance.
The price is very reasonable, room is clean and well maintained. It is near the road, but very quiet at night. Reception very helpful, provide ideas for entertainment. I got 6 bed in my deluxe room, the bunker bed is in the corner, good for privacy.
Pool was great as was the location of our room. Breakfast buffet was also easily accessible and we added this onto our visit on the last day. Coffee from barista was also great. Was apprehensive on arrival as alot of reviews about this place were quite negative but in turn helped our visit exceed our expectations as we had no issues or negative experiences at all!
Pelican penthouse is directly positioned on the beautiful beachfront and close to the centre of The Entrance. The apartment is spacious and well equipped with everything you need. There is also a huge terrace upstairs overlooking the bridge and ocean.
The owner Kim is a pleasure to deal with and promptly handles any issues that arise.
A cut above the other Ibis I have stayed in. Room was larger and Bathroom was a great size and was tiled throughout. Some Ibis hotels I've stayed at only had the capsule style bathrooms which are functional but a little small. Ibis the Entrance has direct access to the Diggers Club and the Bistro so that's a bonus.
I was pleasantly surprised by the room, given the price. Very clean, and quite fresh, with everything you need. Pet friendly (huge plus for us) and a short bike ride or drive to both Toowoon Bay beach (our favourite on the coast) as well as The Entrance restaurants. Short walk to good coffee and interesting shops.
Absolutely loved staying at the Shelly Beach Holiday Park. The facilities were great, the entire place was clean, staff at the entrance were very welcoming and friendly, the swimming area and slides were great for the kids! We will definitely be returning
I asked for and booked a room with a spa and got a clean room with waterfront views I was very happy, It was more a treat to have a weekend away with my partner and while the area had a few imperfections the hotel was more than adequate for our needs.
Reception staff very friendly and helpful. Bed very comfortable. Room clean. Access to the Diggers club. Accommodation was in a great location. Stayed an extra night didn't have to change rooms etc. Very happy with my overall experience
The rooms we were allocated were overwhelming with cigarette smoke to the point I was wheezing. The Aircon and ladies amenities were out of order. This accommodation is not suitable for adults, let alone children.
It's always a great location - with everything The Entrance has to offer in easy walking distance. The quality is always reliable and the rooms were well-sized and the kitchenette was well furnished.
We’ve stayed here several times and love the location and accommodation. Cabins are newly refurbished and very clean and comfortable with a short walk to the beach.Very friendly staff too.
Perfect location for exploring the Entrance. We have a room with view and it was very good to wake up with sunrise view. Also enjoyed the view throughout the day.
The location was excellent. Across the road from the mouth and just around the corner from pubs and restaurants. That is the only thing good about this hotel.
I liked the pool, bed was comfortable, place was clean and Netflix and others were available for night time entertainment. Close to beaches and The Entrance
Great location, view from the balcony, swimming pool, beach right across the road, the parking space provided was right at the entrance of the building
