This is a typical small coastal town "only pub in town". We enjoyed the busy, friendly Friday night vibe and had a good meal. Our room was small but has an excellent modern bathroom added and a spacious outdoor verandah. The location is superb.

Absolutely lovely space in a beautiful location. The dogs were so friendly and the fireplace was so cozy. I booked again immediately after staying. The kitchen and home had everything I could need. Lovely.

Love the nature surrounding the house. We were only there for one night but we wish we could have stayed longer. Parrots and a lyrebird were sights of the morning.

Marlo, where the mighty Snowy River meets the ocean, is just beautiful. Quiet and untouched, an absolute hidden gem. Lots of stunning walks and beautiful wildlife. And the food at the pub is AMAZING! Would highly recommend.

Great fishing destination, boat ramp suitable for small trailered boats. We were lucky enough to be joined by a couple of couple of Gippsland water dragon on the river bank while fishing aswell as having a lyrebird cross the road in front of us.
The staff in the general store are friendly and attentive. Access to beaches is limited.

Right at the end of the iconic Snowy River where it flows into the sea. Very picturesque with lots of viewpoints over the estuary and a lovely walk on a maintained track and boardwalk along The Narrows, the estuary between the ocean and the coastal fringe.

We had an historic purpose for being in Marlo and if that had not been our reason I may have missed this "far from maddening crowds location". Mostly, it's a fishers' dreaming spot. However, there are lots of isolated locations to explore either by walking or further by car.
Wonderful natural river and more distant ocean beaches to explore.
Dinner on the deck at the Marlo Pub at sunset is a not-to-be-missed activity families and dogs

Not enough cafes, accommodation and other facilities in Marlo considering the significance of the area with amazing views and great walks at the mouth of the Snowy River. Loved the estuary nature walk, Mots beach, nearby Cape Conran... could have stayed longer ...

Marlo is central to a lot of activities such as fishing in the lakes, river or out in the ocean. Surfing and beach walking down at Cape Conran. Withing driving distance to places like Buchan Caves, Lakes Entrance, Orbost etc... We had breakfast at the Marlo tackle shop/cafe and it was excellent. Lunch was at the Beachside Cafe (great burgers) and evening meal at the Marlo Pub with a view over the river and ocean. A great experience for our weekend.
