A quiet little town, not too far from the main town of Bathurst. We ate at the Royal Hotel which was a short walk from the motel. Food was good! We were able to buy supplies at the very large supermarket in town. a good base to visit the other little towns nearby.

Blayney is a lovely, quaint town with adequate facilities. It is close to Bathurst, Orange and Cowra, as well as other smaller rural towns.
My trip was to visit family.
Sadly, the Exchange Hotel is not “old-world” but in need of razing or major repair.
As shown in the photos, the windows were nearly falling out and the glass was 2cm above the window sill.
Despite being the only guests, there was old food in the kitchen fridge, bathroom effects in every shower cubicle and animal faeces in one of the showers that was there for our entire stay (unsure when bathrooms were last cleaned, the long black hairs in the bath were a nice effect as well).
Don’t pin your hopes on a bottle of sparkling, or the correct glasses to drink from..... it may be a pub, but no sparkling wine here

Blayney was a small town that had supplies.
Blayney was a small town that had supplies. It has a wonderful Thai takeaway, 9&9, that made dishes to suit various dietary needs. It had a great kids park near the motel and ample places for kids to ride bikes. Being there alone there was not much to do and it was a cold day so I briefly looked around town then went back to the motel. A must see and a highlight of my road trip was Mithorpe, a beautiful country boutique town with wonderful bargains, only 10 minutes from Blayney. Lovely chocolate shop, the turmeric latte was not good, but there was other cafe's/coffee places. The town centre is off the main street and you would not know it was open on a Sunday as the main street was quiet.

The most beautiful, welcoming little country town with great places to eat and visit. The Ironbark Cafe is a must for brekky and coffee. The chocolate coffee place is delicious too! Everyone in this town is so lovely and friendly.
We have stayed at the Blayney Central Motel before and it would be my first choice when visiting our family. It is well located on the main shopping strip and very clean and comfortable. We often arrive late from Sydney but the owners are amenable for us to pay over the phone and then our daughter picks up the key for us. Helpful, friendly, polite, clean. It’s not like Blayney is a tourist Mecca so it’s much more than might be expected!
Accommodation was a great surprise in the fact that there was so much space and amenities were extensive. It is a place where a large family or group could go with lots of room and all the facilities to feed this large group or family without leaving the place. The central heating in this beautiful home was excellent and easy to use so it would not be an issue in the middle of a Blayney winter. Ample space for several cars.
Friendly welcome by the manager (the man in the photo). Location in the main street and a short walk to the Royal Hotel where we had dinner. The room was spotless and the housekeeping staff paid attention to detail which I loved. Bed had an electric blanket which was great as it turned chilly by 4pm (early Sept). Bed was comfortable and we slept well. Thank you very much.
The staff were polite friendly and helpful I was expecting them to complain about the noise my kids made in the room I don't know how it didn't get me thrown out the best hotel I've ever stayed in I wish I could have extended the stay because it's such a great place quiet and friendly absolutely beautiful
Grand old historic house well restored.
I've stayed at Te Rata House several times now when on work trips and this is my Go-To accommodation in the Blayney area.
Clean throughout, comfortable furnishings, very good wifi.
Kitchen well equipped with appliances, cooking implements and basic supplies.
* Cosy room, tastefully furnished
* Wardrobe, Yay!
* Heaters, electric blanket and bedroom light turned on prior to arrival - very thoughtful (it snowed in Blayney during my stay) ❄😁
* So quiet at night! 👍 Comfy bed, great night's sleep. 😴
We chose Blaney to be away from the busy city centre of Bathurst. The manager did everything to make our stay pleasant. Dinner at the Royal Hotel, Blaney was convenient and delicious.
Clean, quiet, roomy, comfortable and right in the centre of town. Easy walk to the hotel for dinner. Unlike many other hotels all TV channels were available
