Amamoor Lodge, hotel in Kandanga Upper

Amamoor Lodge is nestled on 50 acres between magnificent mountain ranges. Guests can enjoy a swim in the lovely outdoor swimming pool and free Wi-Fi.

This little hideaway was quiet and quaint with wildlife and other animals all around. It has a peaceful outlook and was a great option for my friend and I. Check was easy and the kitchenette meant we could make our own breakfast and heat up the dinner we brought with us. The tank water was wonderful for showering and drinking (although we did need to be mindful of use). Roomy for two people as well. You do need a car as nothing is close by.

Noosa Hinterland Spectacular Boutique Guesthouse, hotel in Kandanga Upper

Offering garden views, Noosa Hinterland Spectacular Boutique Guesthouse in Cooran features accommodations, an outdoor swimming pool, a garden, a tennis court, barbecue facilities, and a shared lounge....

The property and its surroundings were so beautiful. The facilities were excellent and we made good use of the pool and tennis court. John and Nora were incredibly welcoming and accommodating, going out of their way to make our stay perfect- which it certainly was! Everything was nice and clean, breakfast each morning was delicious and John was kind enough to drop us to and from the bus stop. It really felt like home from home. Couldn’t recommend this place enough and if we’re back in Noosa we will definitely stay here again!

Holiday with Nature, hotel in Kandanga Upper

25 miles from Noosa National Park in Cooran, Holiday with Nature offers accommodations with access to beauty services. With river views, this accommodation features a patio and a swimming pool.

John and Nora are super nice, very responsive before and during the stay, and flexible with our late check-in. The location is great. Immersed in nature, the terraces face a creek and the forest. Apparently, you can also take a walk in the properties up to a lagoon but we didn't have time to do it. Also close to wonderful beaches (40min from Noosa). The Tiny is brand new, spacious, and comfortable with a very well-equipped kitchen, an eco-compost toilet, a spacious shower, and a nice terrace with a weber bbq and the possibility to make a real campfire too. Almost luxury I would say! The van is a bit older but still nice. Not very spacious, but still OK for a couple, I think. The shower-toilet is very small but they told me they are going to improve it. Anyway, the van also has a lot of well-equipped space outside, with tables and chairs and the possibility to make a campfire. The outdoors is shared between Tiny and Van, with a tennis court, an herb garden, and many flowers. We really enjoyed the quiet in the properties and the strict contact with nature. We had a visit from a beautiful peacock and John and Nora's dog is adorable. At night we relaxed watching the wonderful sky with a very thick milky way, probably the richest I've ever seen!

Its always going to be the people that make a community...

Its always going to be the people that make a community great. The cottage we stayed at, Perseverance Farm Stay, was about 10-11min drive past the little township. Typical townies that we are, we didn't prepare properly for an evening meal and had to come back to town after settling into the cottage (which is wonderful by the way, recommend to all who just want to unwind). We stopped in at the local pub and we saw some scrummy looking meals being brought out from the kitchen. Unfortunately the kitchen closed at 8pm, we were there 30min too late, these were the last orders...but the lady behind the bar told us about a truck stop (Gold Nugget in Kybong I think) which served the biggest damn steak meals I've had for $20... The eldest son thought he was in heaven. Next morning we went for brunch at a café adjoined to the local supply shop - fantastic food, atmosphere and service - top marks!! Overall what really appealed was the scenery and serenity. What a great place to go with the family for some proper rest and relaxation.
