The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was great. The spa bath was amazing after a long day out on my feet. It was quiet at night even though it is on and near a main road. The park directly behind the hotel is fantastic for families and a 2 minute work to a major shopping centre was a bonus.
Featuring a bar and a children’s playground, Nightcap at Rose & Crown Hotel offers accommodations in Elizabeth. Guests enjoy unlimited free WiFi.

The rooms need to have a towel rail to hang wet towels. Also a second chair would have been useful, sitting on the bed trying to eat is not good. I realise that often these rooms are occupied by one person, but since they can accommodate 2, 2 chairs useful. Re towel rail, given the rooms are small this could be done by puting a rail on the room door. We liked the fact you could fill the kettle from the sink, surprisingly we stayed in another hotel called the Rose in WA on the way home, beautiful kettle but you couldn't fill it, it was too tall for the sink. Considering we were from interstate and I have some serious dietry constraints we were disappointed about the food. It appeared on the website that food was available. I realise your problem but dont recommend Domminos again its awful. But certainly recommend the Chinese restaurant its great (even though it looks suspicious) and they know their food allegies and are wonderful. If I had known this the first time I would have gone there. The problem with Chinese food for Gluten intolerance can be the soy sauce, but they understood that. I grew up in Elizabeth 35 years ago and Elizabeth High School was my school. My Mum worked at the school so I know that the Rose and Crown was the staff's local and went to several celebrations there on end of year staff parties. Therefore I am aware of its history. It was good to see its still there, but sad to see this wonderful venue decreased essentially to a Poker machine venue. Interestingly the Rose Hotel in Bunbury where we stayed on our homeward leg is also in a regional city, although established a bit earlier than you its size of venue is comparible. They offer some cool deals for guests and local patrons re food, even a complimentary drink like you, so check it out. The size of your establishement is copious and could well handle more people. I know Elizabeth is not well endowed but I grew up there and it would be good to see your pub thrive again.

We cannot offer a review of the Golden Grove as we chose to...
We cannot offer a review of the Golden Grove as we chose to seek alternative accommodation within an hour of arrival. The odour in the house, possibly from the carpet cleaning, would have made our stay unpleasant. The fact that the host was also prepared to instruct guests on how to stop the toilet flushing rather than repair or replace it speaks volumes.
