The stay was perfect to us, amazing host, absolutely perfect and huge meals, owners always friendly and willing to help and advise. We went hiking around, took a look to the Mattmark Dam and went hiking around Matterhorn for one day. The hotel was accesible by car (end of September). By the time we went the house was partly under construction so it will be even nicer by now.

Surrounded by 14 four-thousand yard peaks, next to the Furggstalden Gondola Elevator, Berghotel Furggstalden offers Alpine-style rooms with a mountain-view balcony. The property offers ski-to-door access with the Fugglstalden-Heidbodme Ski Area and is 1.9 mi from Saas-Almagell. An LCD TV is provided in each room at Berghotel Furggstalden. You share the bathroom facilities with other guests. Local products are used in the 4-course dinners and à la carte menu. Meals can be enjoyed out on the terrace where you are treated with views of the surroundings. The hotel also serves a rich buffet breakfast. Kneipp treatments are provided free of charge. Other wellness facilities include a sauna, massage chair, fitness area and hot tub. In summer, the gondola elevators and bus in the Saas Valley are free of charge.
