Built in the 1890s, this historic hotel was one of the first hotels in Lauterbrunnen. The family-run Hotel Staubbach offers panoramic views of the Staubbach Falls and Lauterbrunnen Valley. It is located 1969 feet from the Lauterbrunnen station and offers free parking and free Wi-Fi. Hotel Staubbach provides simply furnished rooms with private or shared bathrooms. The fine print
To the hotel from the train station:
- leave the train station to the main street
- walk the main street uphill, continuing in the direction you have come by train, towards the Staubbach Waterfall.
- after 1640 feet, you will see Hotel Staubbach on your left-hand side. (If you pass the church you have gone too far.)
You can also take the bus to the hotel (direction Stechelberg), which stops opposite the train station. Get off at the first stop and proceed for a few minutes on foot.
There are no taxis in Lauterbrunnen, but you can order a taxi in advance from Garage Gertsch in the next village.
