Beautiful castle, within easy walking distance of the centre...
Beautiful castle, within easy walking distance of the centre of the town. Good restaurants, although not a lot of variety of choice. The train station is a long way from the town, approx. 45 minutes walk. Highly recommended for a couple of days visit, especially in summer when the outdoor attractions are available.

The castle is magnificent. Kept in wonderful condition.
The castle is magnificent. Kept in wonderful condition. They could arrange more guided tours in English, though. You are not allowed to wander around by yourself and most of the guided tours are in Czech only (although written information is provided).

Nice trip for weekend without car or for single day with car...
Nice trip for weekend without car or for single day with car. Castle is quite big but entrance is only with guided tour. Tours are quite expensive, but not too long - each takes around 1 hour (or you need to pay for another ones). Tour is quite interesting though. Without tour it will take 30 min to review castle exterior + an hour to walk around a park

The location, castle, nature, all is just amazing.
The location, castle, nature, all is just amazing. There is a lovely Zoo, outdoor activity camp or a golf course in the immediate proximity of the Hluboka castle.
Do not be afraid to book a room outside the Hluboka nad Vltavou village, there are plenty of country houses offering B&B at half the price and within a 30-45 min walking distance of the city.
Consider renting a bike and visit the surroundings!

We stayed during the Off Season (October) to visit Castle Hluboká so the Restaurant was closed and there were only a few guests staying at Hotel Milan Vopicka. Location to visit the Castle is great. 10 minute walk into the old town and another 15 to get up to the castle. Clean Budget Accommodations if you are just there for the castle or playing golf or tennis. Very much appreciated that someone was there to check us in and check us out in the morning.
A nice building in a great location for this attractive town. Three restaurants on site, and the one we chose had a good menu and the food was good and value for money. Rooms were fine and there's a lift to the upper floors. And also, although not actually to do with the hotel, there's a great artisanal beer pub less than two minutes walk away!
The Hotel is truly remarkable as it is located just at the Hluboka Castle and seems to be a natural part of the entire complex. Hence you will totally enjoy the atmosphere and your stay. There is a paid garage parking, parking outside is also possible for free. WiFi worked fine. No issue in general. Breakfast was good.
The hotel is situated in a beautiful building resembling a castle. The room was amazing! The only disadvantage was that we couldn't turn on the heating, so it was quite cold during the night. The door to the bedroom also didn't close properly. The receptionists were nice and helpful. The breakfast was good too.
This hotel is not a touristy accomodation for visiting Hluboka, it is for people who came to play sports at the grounds of the hotel, eventually at the golf course which is located across the road. My room was bigger and had fridge but it was pretty noisy since located above the restaurant. Very nice staff.
Location was perfect - very close to Hluboka castle and to a golf course, also very close to nice coffeeshops.
The host waited for us with the keys even though we didn't make it till official check-in time. Kitchenette was nicely equipped.
It's a small, fully equipped house - including the kitchen. You can park two cars there no problem. It even comes with a cozy terrace with a view on the Hluboka castle. The neighborhood is very quiet and pleasant.
The room was clean and spacious, with a nice view on Hluboka. We enjoyed the sauna and the relaxing massage. Breakfast was good, especially the white sausages. We also had a yummy dinner at the hotel's restaurant!
Really nice atmosphere, the medieval-like basement was a surprise. We had the pleasure of taking a drink there while a local band played country Czech music live. Fantastic!
Also very close to Hluboká Castle
The location of the hotel is right beside the Castle on the top of the hill, which provides a lovely view out of the room. The breakfast was excellent with choices and the spa facilities was good.
Nice and clean studio recently renovated with fully equipped kitchen and nice bathroom. Safe public parking in a front of the apartment. Polite owner that provides a welcome cake. Excellent WiFi.
Small family hotel located in the city center at 10 min walk from the castle, polite host, large and clean rooms, delicious breakfast, parking available.
