Barcelona was all that I expected and more. The city was magical with so many beautiful monuments and aesthetic buildings.
I will definitely return for a longer stay as I couldn’t tick off all the items on my bucket list with the limited time I had.
The city walk with Pick a tour of gothic region was mind blowing. I also enjoyed the walk on the beautiful La Rambla street .
Sagrada Familia, Barcelona Cathedral, Casa Milo, Casa Basilica , camp nou and Montjuïc Cable Car were breathtaking.
I also enjoyed a brief stay at Castledefels with its lovely Cana Olympic.
It was also very easy to get around via metro.

Barcelona is a city that never fails to impress, and our recent stay was no exception. Here are some insights and tips from our trip:
Favorite Places:
Our favorite spot in Barcelona has to be the breathtaking Sagrada Familia. The intricate details and grandeur of this basilica left us in awe. We also loved strolling through Park Güell, where the vibrant mosaics and panoramic views of the city were simply mesmerizing. Another highlight was the Gothic Quarter, with its narrow, winding streets and historical charm.
Dining Experience:
We had some fantastic meals during our stay. One of our top dining experiences was at El Xampanyet, a cozy tapas bar near the Picasso Museum. The traditional tapas and cava were delightful. For a more upscale dining experience, we visited Tickets, a Michelin-starred restaurant that offered an unforgettable culinary journey with its innovative dishes and creative presentations.
Getting Around:
Navigating Barcelona was surprisingly easy. The city's public transportation system, including buses and the metro, was efficient and well-connected. We found it convenient to use a T10 travel card, which gave us access to multiple rides at an affordable price. Walking around the central areas was also enjoyable, as many of the main attractions are within a reasonable distance from each other.
What to Avoid:
If there's one thing we'd avoid next time, it would be the overly touristy spots along La Rambla. While it's a famous street, it tends to be crowded and filled with overpriced eateries. Instead, we recommend exploring the less touristy neighborhoods like Gràcia or Poble Sec, where you can experience more authentic local vibes.
Overall, our stay in Barcelona was fantastic, and we can't wait to return. Whether you're a history buff, a foodie, or simply looking to soak in the vibrant culture, Barcelona has something to offer for everyone.

My travel companion & I walked over 53 Km over 5 days including our travel days.
I recommend the Familia Sagrada & Park Guell with pre-booked tickets. (bring your own TP for the park). I thought the Cathedral of Barcelona was 'WAY' overpriced! 15.00 EUR p/p for not much. There was an enormous line up to the roof - no time to stand in queue - the price stung.
I would not recommend a return ticket from the beach cable car. We had no information where we'd end up so we bought return tickets. Turned out we were steps from our hotel exiting the one-way cable car. They refused to refund our money, so we gave our valid return tickets to 2 fellows ready to buy tickets to the beach. Done!
We felt safe however, we were reminded by locals [in restaurants & bars] to watch our phones. Westerners tend to leave our phones on our tables.
I did see 3 spray painted "hate tourists' tags, although I felt every local I encountered was lovely. Inflation is everywhere and cripples Westerners too - I can relate to the frustration and their quiet movement.
We kept to the old town area, and ate away from the big sites and La Rambla st.
I needed more time to see Barcelona.

Loved Barcelona from the first couple of hours after arriving. Everyone we had spoken to raved about the city and shared how much they loved it too. Now we can understand why. It is a vibrant, unique and bustling city with something for everyone to see and do. The people, the food, the sights, the architecture and the vibe was amazing. Don't miss this amazing city - can't wait to return. Make sure you do the city tours, there is so much information we would have missed without the informative local knowledge of our tour guides.

Beautiful, bustling city!! Walkable!!
Lovely sights, architecture & tourist friendly!!
Good shopping & dining!!
( what I will definitely avoid next visit is Amra Hotel!!
The accommodations were that of a pension/not a hotel!! The rooms were all on one floor ,upstairs in a building (1st floor?) Entranceway rug looked dirty, elevator walls were boarded up/ being repaired? Etc...
The Hotel was extremely top class with everything a traveler will need. Made my trip to Barcelona a happy one. The location was great with many restaurants and pubs just behind them. I actually walked to the Sagrada Família in just 20mins. The rooms were very neat and luxurious. Their breakfast and chefs were very welcoming and friendly. The receptionist are very helpful. Really helped me on my way back because they assured me with a wake-up service, got me a taxi to the airport. Overall that’s one the best places anyone can go.
The staffs are supper nice and helpful, we had a great experience there. Room services were available every day, toilet and bathroom were separated and clean. We didn't use breakfast there but overall everything was nice.
The Internet connection was good also, but on the last day of our stay, we had some issues with the WIFI connection.
We also extended our stay in Barcelona as the hotel was convenient and clean.
The connection to the city center, Metro, restaurants, and shopping centers was great 👍
- we've been traveling to Spain / Barcelona for 7 years and saw many hotels and apartments. This one was the best.
- we live in apartments with 1 hall and 1 bedroom, it was quite spacious for the family with 2 kids.
- breakfast was great and placed in the 19th (or may be 18th) century designed hall in the main building.
- apartments have a great location - close to Goethic quarter and the harbor
- its was a bit expensive but I'm sure only due to high demand (July)
An amazing hotel
I’ll start with the dear hotel employees that made our stay heavenly, so kind always up for a good advise and really gave us feeling like we know each other for long time.
The rooms were always clean and comfortable.
The hotel is located in the best location in the city between all the shopping stores you can imagine. Close to all main places to see and 5 min walk from the bus to airport.
This is the only hotel I’m going back to in Barcelona
The staff was great and helpful. they gave us useful tips and treated us well (shoutout to Jose, he was so kind).
The location is 5 minute walk from the metro and an airport bus station (placa espana), it is not in the town center and you do need to use the metro to travel but we were prepared for it and found it easy to use.
There is a nice coffee shop underneath the hotel.
It was a lot cheaper then hotels in the city center and served us well.
Besides the facility been great, I want to give a special and well-deserved appreciation to the hotel staff especially señor Arian for being such an amazing person and tour guide too..
Señor Arian made the trip exponentially better, through his recommendations, advises and conversation I was able to experience Barcelona in a great light/way and as a result I'm very much excited to revisit Barcelona & Spain in the nearest future 🤗
I've stayed here before for 5 days (alone and female) in Sept and then stayed here for 2 days with my partner and had a great exp both times.
I'd give it 4 out of 5 stars
The staff are really nice and helpful when I was alone and with someone the next time.
I've stayed in 4 hotels in barcelona and the shower here is the absolute best!!
And I love the views from my room it's beautiful
Beautiful boutique hotel located in a wonderful quiet residential area just a second away from the busy center. The room was great, large, beautiful decor, nice balcony, super comfortable king bed and the best shower I ever had in my life, breakfast was simple but very good and lot of a la carte choices included in the price, we ll definitely go back every time we ll visit Barcelona!
Super friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful, modern and very clean hotel. Great breakfast buffet and great facilities . It is a 30 min drive to El Prat airport and 10 minutes drive to the beach and city center and 15 minutes to the Rambla. We had a rental car but also took uber (for €11) in the evenings. I will definitely book again for my next stay in Barcelona.
Anna was great! Hotel is really clean, new look, feel to it. Its not a high end hotel - location was amazing. Its Spain, people are out late so if you are a light sleeper, you may hear street noise. Barcelona is lively and amazing. Central to the waterfront which is beautiful, loads of amazing restaurants, coffee shops, bakery all at your foot steps.
Small, cozy room with interesting bathroom (is is integrated together with bedroom). The room was very clean and the hotel has a nice style. And is close to city center (10 min walk)
And also the best breakfast of our visit in Spain - the traditional Swedish one with lots of choices, and not the Spanish one with just bread and coffee.
This hostel has the best staff ever! Very friendly, always doing their best for the clients comfort. Felt like home here! Perfect hostel to stay while visiting Barcelona. The location could not be better to visit and explore the city center. Shoot out to Raquel, Cumé, Céci, Vanessa, Jordi and Cris for making my stay so much better!
If you are visiting Barcelona and need accommodation, look no further. Stylish 9-bedroom boutique hotel in the city center that has a very home atmosphere and the facilities are superb.
Staff were great, thank you Narcis and the girls for a wonderful stay!
good price for the overrated Barcelona hotel in the city center , very comfortable bed
private parking for 15€/night (you need to reserve)
very efficient bike rental service from another company
close to metro and bus
Nice location: close to the city center, close to the airport (direct bus takes 15-20 minutes to get) , close Sants train station. Amazing museum with nice views just around the corner. Nice restaurant in hotel.
loved the spa , the room , the design. I will definitely come back , it’s one of the best hotel in Barcelona and I went to 5 stars one that were quite disappointing so this hotel is a really good surprise.
New hotel in the heart of the city center, nicely furnished, wonderful surrindings, extremly kind and helpful staff.Next time when we come to Barcelona,we plan to stay in the same hotel.
The location is amazing, perfectly set in one of the best neighborhoods of Barcelona.
The room on the 6th floor had an amazing view on Barcelona city center's streets.
Location was great, breakfast was wonderful.
Hotel was so clean and spacious. Definitely one of our best stays while in Spain. Would book again in a heart beat.
