Breathtakingly beautiful, with fantastic views everywhere, a relaxed pace of life and warm and peaceful culture. We came for the Boudin Museum and were not disappointed. What a fantastic collection and how beautifully curated! That this was also the birthplace of Eric Satie, was astonishing. Honfleur is a lovely old town, with lots of character.
Honfleur is a lovely old town, with lots of character. There are plenty of restaurants, with those at the high end with Michelin stars, and more run of the mill establishments to suit all tastes and budgets. It's a good base to explore Normandy and the surrounding area, including Deauville, Etratat, and the landing beaches of WW2 around Caen. Most of the town is flat, so easy walking and there is plenty of parking. Some hotels are up a rather steep hill. There are plenty of places to eat or have coffee with a view of the river or around the old basin. There are historic buildings to see like the church, a range of shops, beautiful gardens along the river, river trips and a viewing wheel. Not sure what is going on with William the Conqueror's replica boat - the place was shut and the sign indicated it wasn't going to be open until the autumn.Guest review byHelen - 8.0

Honfluer was lovely it's a very pretty place with some great restaurants. We parked at the city gates which was a free car park. It's a very charming port with quaint narrow street, with quite a few art galleries.
