In general the whole setup was fantastic,we had dinner there aswell and great food. Owner and wife speek several languages (Deutsch,English,French naturally) I can wholly recommend this beautiful place.

Te room was fine, the restaurant which we ate in on our first nights stay exceeded our expectations, the food was excellent, we both had cod and without question it was the best cod dish either of us had ever had. The location is excellent right in the middle of beautiful Brantome.

The property is a large 19th century house and the rooms are very good with modern bathrooms. Breakfast was outdoors - limited pastries, homemade jams and coffee/tea. It’s only a five minute stroll to the heart of town, and there’s free parking next door on the school lot. Altogether a very good experience except for lack of air conditioning.

Nice clean apartment right inside Brantome with modern kitchen and bath. Free parking available across the bridge in the second lot (after the pharmacy parking) within walking distance.

    One of the prettiest places I have visited. It looks like it came out of a fairytale. It was wonderful to walk around the village because everything look so pretty. It’s perfect for slow traveling. The products there didn’t seem overpriced, so we bought a lot of nice souvenirs.

    Brantome is an extremely picturesque small town and is a major attraction for tourists, particularly during high season. The varied shops and cafes provide opportunities to browse while the weekly market is a must-see if you are able to visit. The whole town is a network of small streets and bridges to explore with the river, parks and abbey providing photo opportunities at every turn. Visit the top floor of the abbey for spectacular views and an insight into the construction of the building. Great central location for touring the area.

    Brantôme is a lovely little town, great for a day trip or overnight stay. Very picturesque, with plenty to see and do. Good choice of restaurants but they fill up quickly so need to be booked fairly early in the day.

    Compact but clean and nicely decorated accommodation for a short stay. Easy walking distance to all the amenities and restaurants, making it ideal for our needs in Brantome. The town itself is lovely and we enjoyed several pleasant countryside walks, courtesy of the free walk info. given to us at the Tourist Information Office when we stopped off there to enquire.

    Brantome is a great location and the “de l’Abbaye is a great place to stay. The staff go out of their way to make sure your stay is memorable from when you check in to the moment you leave.The Michelin Star restaurant is fabulous and well worth a visit, but for me the staff made our stay special

    The hotel and grounds were exquisite. Everything was finished to a very high standard. Our room was lovely, even if a little small. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom very attractive. The hotel had free loaner e-bikes that we used to explore the surrounding area.
