The host and hostess were awesome and the facility was fantastic! It was warm, comfortable and a beautiful place to stay! I wish we could have spent the whole vacation there!

This is a beautiful cottage, that I am lead to believe once belonged to the railway. That is no longer in use. I feel very privleged to own. It sits in beautiful surroundings.you can enjoy the lovely garden. We do not accept BBQ. Strictly no food in the Hot tub. As there is outside dining area. We ask guests leave the property as they find it. And have a lovely stay 😊
I love the area I live in there is so much to see and do. I can walk to Sherwood Forest to see the Major Oak, with all its history.I like to take walks round Rufford and Clumber Park. Or a bike ride through Sherwood pines. I feel very fortunate to live in such a pretty area.
Acorn Cottage is situated in the heart of Sherwood Forest.There are lots of places to see I.E. the visitor center where kids can learn all about Robin Hood.close by is Sherwood pines if you fancy a good bike trail or just a go on the zip wire.try your hand at the local Rufford Golf Coarse, or just take a stroll round the lake. You can Relax and unwind in the lovely Restaurant.The white post farm is a short car ride kids will love feeding the Animals. Or you could cross over the road to Wheelgate. Where the kids will have a ball on the water slides. You could visit the Historic town of Newark with its lovely shop bars and Restaurants. Or the Attractions Nottingham has to offer. The Castle the Caves. Or just a walk along the Canal stopping for the odd drink and a bite to eat.Nottingham boasts some of the best Bars and Restaurants. Including the Oldest pub in England The Trip to Jerusalem.Dont think you can fit all we have to Offer in one Trip.
