The location was cool and the hosts were amazing! We got lost and they helped talk us in - it was very hot and they offered us a cold beer after a stressful day - and they sat and chatted with us like we were old friends. I would stay with them any time.

Property info

Eskadale cottage looks down on to the river Beauly and across to the hills. Whilst it is remote, we are only 20 minutes or so from Inverness. Access to the Glens to the West is only a few miles away up single track roads. The cottage is old, but with modern appliances and a gas fired Aga in the kitchen ensures that you always get a warm welcome ! Entrance is by front porch and boot area - no boots in the house please - and into the big kitchen. The kitchen has the Aga and a gas range for cooking. Dishwasher, freezer, toaster, electric kettle and a coffee machine. There is a table and chairs in the middle of the room. Off the kitchen there is a larder with a big fridge, washing machine and a microwave. From the kitchen you go through to the sitting room, again, a big room with sofa, chair, piano, table and a solid fuel stove. The stairs lead off one corner up to the bedroom with a king size bed. This looks out to the river and hills. Off the bedroom there is a bathroom with shower and bath, on from that there is a dressing room set up as a snug / reading room. It also looks out to the hills and river. WiFi is available - there is no tv. Hot water is on demand and available 24/7. We live in a beautiful area and it is peaceful. There are walks through the beech woods and down to the river, there is also a table and chairs outside the kitchen window. Parking is close to the cottage. If you want peace and quiet, beautiful scenery, a cosy cottage to relax in, we are here to provide that for you. Bread and milk etc is provided and if you let us know preference before your arrival we will have it in the fridge waiting for you. If you would like any more info, please get in touch. Many thanks.
